Always Get A Player Card

Post by Ken G »

Whenever I go to a casino to play Video Poker, the very first thing I do is to go to the front desk and get myself a Players Card. The card is good for you as a player and also is a tool for the casino to track your activity and then give you offers to entice your return. I most always plays Las Vegas Rules style casinos but recently have had great "luck" at two Indian Tribe Casinos. Again, my first action upon arrival was to go get myself a Players Card.

I recently visited Rolling Hills Casino and Resort in Corning, CA and stayed under the "STAY AND PLAY" golf package which included 3 nights at the RV PARK and 2 days of golf and we also visited two the casino and played video poker and craps while there. While we were there, the casino front loaded our cards for free play. The first day was $5.00, the second and third days they put $10.00 on my players card. I did manage to leave with $350.00 but also used some of it to buy dinner and drinks and enjoy the stay. After it was all done. I still managed to bring $200.00 home!

Recently, I received a very nice mailer from Rolling Hills with the previously mentioned "enticement" to return. Included was over $50.00 in free play, discounts on rooms and another discount on the STAY AND PLAY package since they know I am a golfer and RV'er. Also included were July Events and Promotions.

The Players Card is always the very first thing you need to get before embarking on gambling and with it you will find over time the casino wants you to come back and enjoy all that they have to offer. This can be thought of as the COMPS you hear about that casinos offer.
