Went 1-15 or so in 2021. 0-3 this year. No royals, no AWAK. If you don't get the hands high volatility kills, even with advantage. Dollar days are numbered for me.
I don't like volatility, we have DDB at 99.96% I don't play it for volatility is to harsh. Deuces is bad enough without 4 wild deuces in 5000 hands it hurts a the $5 bets. you go 10,000 hands no deuces your in the hole more then you care to be. I stick to steady eddy 9/6 JOB.

I had a had stretch from late last summer to early spring where I maybe won one time in 15 trips. Session after session of quick bust-outs. Often, my $800 stake was gone in half an hour. Sometimes I would bring more money - and lose that too. It was almost baffling that my results could be so terrible. I think that streak cost me $20k+. I mostly was playing TDB, often the 9/7 version. Those kicker quads were just not happening.

But recently, it's been the opposite: a royal, several AWAK and several smalls with kicker, a HP just about every session. Eventually, the math works itself out.

A streaky game for sure.

It is not just the losing sessions. My bankroll, number of trips, and sessions each time I am at a casino is nowhere as extensive as most, if not all, of you. I could understand not getting a rf, but no quad 2s, 3s, 4s, or aces, with or without a kicker, is discouraging.

I guess all you have to do is remind the gambling gods how long the dry spell has been- and if they show some mercy:

Then volatility being what it is:

In with a hundred, out with 2 large within the hour at low stakes...after taxes and giving back trying for more. Now a much more respectable 1 for 4.

Congrats.

I went to the casino today to pick up a small gift on my way to visit a friend (Casino is about 15 miles from my house). Had a few minutes to burn so I played a twenty plus $10 free play. Wanted to see if the VP gods would smile on we. Ok, a miniscule sample, not my normal session, but the results were the same. As you know, the first hand could be a dealt quad. Has happened to me in the past.

Anyways, best wishes for continued success.

Wouldn't you know it. After posting the above comment, I played the last monthly 100 hand session I had available for today. Playing SDDB, I hit quad deuces on the 16th hand and later on quad kings with a kicker. Unreal.

Not only do I need to turn the corner, I need to pass go and collect 200 dollars about 250 times to be even for this year. Hitting anything of 99 percent quarter or dollar machines continues to elude me. Next try tomorrow nite with the Mrs. Good luck all. 58 mile ride from my house to you know where.

Olds, hope you and your wife have a very successful outing. Because of where I live, I have a number of casinos close by. several on the way to other destinations. Thankfully, I usually avoid the temptation to stop. I believe I posted in the past that a new casino is being built within 5 minutes from my house. My self-discipline will be tested but I have enough self-control that to avoid any pitfall. Nevertheless, I am almost tempted to apply for a job there so I couldn't play there. :)
