The problem is under reporting with so many people relying on at hone test kits. Unfortunately in Ct deaths have doubled to 60 from the prior week.

Cancelled my Bizarro trip for tomorrow. It will be packed with MLK day Covidites. Will go maybe Tuesday. In fact I just read on another thread that Tech 58 just had Covid. Unfortunately, it is never going to leave us alone. Masks are now recommended again in CT for all indoor activities. They know very little about the new X BBB1.5 Mutant. To be honest, I am tired of pumping experimental vaccines and boosters into my system. I am probably rolling the dice, but gave up on them after the first booster. Taking all other precautions as best we can. I hate it, but still am a firm believer in masks. Staying away from people in general is almost a must. I am no Dr., but we have many friends who developed serious conditions within days or weeks after shots and boosters. I am not advising anyone. Just reporting what we are seeing. Hope we can all stay safe and continue to play and enjoy VP as best we can. Mohegan Sun is still doing an excellent job of cleaning and providing sanitizer and wipes every few feet. Many employees are wearing masks again. Te also have a sophisticated installed UV air filtration system.
I too stopped taking the boosters after the first one. Got Covid 2 months later. Likewise, I have a good friend who had real problems after the original shots. It has taken her a long time to recuperate.

No offer. I haven’t been to any shows there since Covid. Te Arena is just too close quarters and unless you have floor seating, you have people breathing in back of you right down on your neck. Now Covid is getting much worse again. Ct counties are in the high range now. There were 60 Covid deaths here last week. Double the prior week. I mostly play overnight. Mask on and if someone sits down right next to me to play, I cash out. My lounge trips are very limited and only when the crowds ar thin.
In fact, I am missing a good show tonight. Bowzer. I was offered tickets too.
Of course your caution is a good plan.
But for those of us who are not so diligent, and are unlucky, I would like to mention a magic bullet recovery plan.

As you mentioned, a few posts back, I had a touch of covid a while ago, probably Casino derived.
Never was quite sure what a "dry cough" meant but knew it right away. Home test positive. Went to local Urgent Care. Test confirmed. They handed me a box of Paxlovid. Two-a day for five days. After 24-36 Hours my symptoms, cough and fever, were completely gone and i felt fine. My wife followed this same exact course of events, two days behind me, with the same results.

I am aware that precaution is still wise. And that Paxlovid cure is not guaranteed. But if it helps one person i think you would forgive me for being off-theme on your thread.

No problem whatsoever. I would try Paxlovid myself should the need arrive. We have friends who have taken it with good results and one that had to stop it due to abdominal complications.

Haven’t seen the commercial. Will. Have to check you tube. Watching very little tv lately. History Channel, Fox News, local news. That’s about it.

A quick trip up to Bizarro last night. I was just there a few hours as I am still nursing a leaking boiler until our replacement next week. I decided on a mild version of Martingale Clone on Triple Play Spin Poker Joker Kings with a good 940 for bet one pay-table in case a Royal hit. It did not. I was ahead about 40 bucks by waiting for a loss of ten times my current bet before advancing from a 3 line .75 bet to 4?lines at a buck. As time to go got short, I rushed it by going to dollar play and busted my 400 buck budget. UGH!! Another lesson never learned.

On par with my latest fiasco over 3 hours. Another regrettable trip to the wealth transfer palace.

So reading the last few posts it occurs to me that part of the issue here is too many variables to understand your (Olds & FAA mainly here, but all of us to a degree) results and outcomes. You are multiplying the randomness of luck by the changing of the games you play, denominations, credits bet, etc, etc. and trying to make sense of it. Randomness squared if you will. I give Olds a bit of recognition in that he has a system- but he constantly suffers from what he calls a lack of discipline.

I appreciate the vagaries of luck, but I try to compensate for that by playing the same game with the same pay table at the same denomination (albeit often raising on a win), and attempting to be disciplined in staying the course during the losing streaks. That and I decided a while back to be in it for the long haul. Others will call it boring. I call it order.
