Bizarro World 2023

Post by olds442jetaway »

Just pulled into Mohegan Sun for my first solo trip of 2023. The garage is pretty full so I expect the same to be inside. Looks like I will be going back to masks as the newest Covid variant XBB.1.5 is taking off like a rocket in Ct. Sadly my brother just lost one of his best friends only age 72 due to complications from Covid and the Flu. He was fully vaccinated and boosted too. According to today’s news, this new Mutant is an expert at alluding both the latest booster and antibodies. I listened to Face the Nation this morning. It looks like we will face a recession in 2023. Could be years before interest rates come down and pretty much the world is in a mess with the USA possibly faring somewhat better.
Now back to Video Poker. I think I will start with Joker Kings on one of two machines that I know of. They are quarter machines and up that pay 940 for bet one if the Royal hits. I am going to try hard to keep my Martingale Clone progression very mild. Maybe wait until I have lost somewhere from 20-50 net losing bets before increasing my bet from 1 to 2. Most of my recent windfall hit bankroll has vanished late in 2022 by being over aggressive on dollar play and not hitting anything good. Sooooo…..we will see how it goes. I have a comp room. Triple status points starts at 6am tomorrow morning. If I was smart, I would play a little tonite and do the bulk of my play right at 6am, but I have to make a pretty early exit home around noon tomorrow, so that might not work. Will see how it goes and report back later or tomorrow. Happy and Healthy New Year all.

Well, I had a couple of nice hits, but in the end, I just played too long. About 10 hours in all. Turning in now after coffee. Pics attached. Not busted, but not great either. I wish I had hit the Royal at a higher bet, but that’s the way it goes.
