The mailers, free play, achievement awards, drawings free rooms ect. are all part of the equation of an edge and how much !! no card in , no advantage. I think. I smell wood burning lol.
Is each piece of the edge, you mention, used by the casino as part of the comp. formula?
For example is the cost of the room you stay in part of what your total comp package is?
Does a local with same coin-in, who rarely stays overnight, get more FP or other value Comps.

Very rare I get annything extra from a host. I call around our birthdays and usually get 100 dinner comps. However, I stay over there about 100 nights a year comped. Free food in the lounge. Free play maybe 100 a week or so. Nominal gifts I usually skip or give away, free coffee/and 365 in the mornings. Not the best, but many shows and games. However, for fears of Covid in the sardine can arena I Haven’t been to a show in 3 years. Probably a couple of small items I missed. Like Ascend dinners, Mother’s Day brunch etc. Never get Friday or Saturday rooms. Just as well. It’s packed with the younger drunk crowd on those nights. They don’t gamble much, but they sure can spend money at the bars and clubs. O, forget. Also like a dummy I don’t take advantage. Free golf at their course a half hour away and free golf lessons. I used to play too and was pretty good. Shot low to mid 80s most times for 18. Handful of rounds in the 70s though lifetime. Darn left handed slice. 😬

Yes, in general. But not at rack rate. Benefits are often classified as either soft or hard comps. Casinos are more generous with soft comps such as rooms and food, and will presumably count them against you at a discounted rate.

A common figure for total benefits is 30%, meaning they'll intend to give you back 30% of your expected losses. For a vp player with 10k coin-in at a 5% theo loss, they would expend $150 to reward you.

Rewards include point redemptions, casino promotional giveaways, mail offers, back-end comps, etc.

VP players have long benefited from unequal stature relative to reel players. Most slot clubs will give back a bigger % of my loss at a 0.5%-edge vp game than a 10%-edge reel slot. But the trend is toward more accurate recognition of actual theo.

The answer is probably yes because I've heard of APs renting local mailboxes to maximize benefits when they find something good away from their local area. Some casinos will only send mail within a designated local region. On the other hand, FP is probably classified as a "harder" comp than a free room. And local mailers often split up the FP inconveniently. A visitor may be offered $200 FP for one trip, whereas I as a local have to go in twice a week for $25 at a time.
