Programmed Randomness

Post by VegasAces1 »

I have been playing VP for 20 years and do enjoy it. I play a lot in Vegas and around my hometown. During my last trip to Vegas I noticed something different with card patterns. Anyone who plays a lot of VP and plays a lot at one sitting will notice patterns. I played several sessions a day at different times from AM to PM. Very rarely was I dealt three of a kind and rarely making three of something on the draw. The existence of quads was hardly ever seen. The Programmed Randomness came to my mind when I went to one of the casinos sister properties and the same exact results occurred after playing different times and different machines. I have never witnessed every machine I played showing the same losing patterns reacting as if they were cloned. I would love to believe that the machines are producing random results and being independent of each other. However this last trip was a disaster and the only way I can describe my experience is calling it Programmed Randomness. Just passing this info along to see if this is happening to you. Tell me what you think! The casino names are not mentioned for obvious reasons.

See the Strategy section and you will find three or four threads that are an on-going display of opinions on this subject. With attempts to figure out the how's, what's, or why's of similar experiences.
Enter the fray at your own risk. Conspiracy Theory charges have been leveled at some. But it's mostly friendly fire. :D

We’ve all been there. It’s really excruciating when multiple times are not viable. It’s so nice when I do find a comfortable pocket or window of play. My confidence and mood lift. My trip is a gift.

In a very short session during my last trip to the casino, I had a similar experience regarding trips, either dealt or drawn. No quads. Given the brevity of my play, obviously, could be the result of randomness. I only mention it because it rarely happened in the past when I played extensively.

I tend to agree with you, however when I jumped around to different machines the same results and patterns occurred as if I never changed machines.

Are you saying that the exact same sequence of dealt hands occurred?

No, it is like the results of a deal and draw are predetermined to avoid a winning hand.

Please film your play for 5 minutes and upload to youtube so we can all see these patterns you describe.

The good news is that OP is not a Vegas resident, so he has plenty of time to lick his wounds. Hopefully, a home cooking winning trip is imminent.
