I almost did. Especially, since it was a small one!! The nickel one was on the Mrs game.

Something told me to slow down from 70 to 55 and I did. Seconds later…..there he was. Big too!! 😬. Dark but not pitch black out yet!!
If you hadn't slowed down, he would have been at least a car length behind!
Welcome to DDB.

Maybe or who knows I may have nailed him. It was almost the exact second. I even tapped the brake for really no reason. Strange. But you are probably right…..Holy cow!! DDB is nerve wracking and the sessions way long unless you are very lucky early. I may give it another shot on quarters next time.

Some nice hits for you guys!
Glad you listened to your instincts and slowed down Olds, and everyone is good.

👍 Thanks CBK. I also carry my Guardian Angel medallion with me always. It is from Sicily and about 120 years old. It was given to me about 15 years ago by a longtime family friend when she was in her late 90s. I didn’t want to take it as it was given to her when she was a little girl. She insisted so I did. This is very strange, but who am I to question. I wrote about this years ago in the forum. We had been through a severe storm about 15 years ago the week before and while on the local road between Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods, my car which back then was a 1998 Saturn slowed down somehow and about 100 feet or so in front of me a gigantic tree crashed across the road. I had the medallion with me. I also think it very strange that in my post a few days ago, I asked that everyone stay safe on the road etc. It’s just a bit above this post on 10/8. Then I had this trip and this incident with the wolf coyote hybrid!! Like I said. Who am I to question. Which reminds me, after that handpay, I better get up to the Shelter later today. Stay safe and well all.

Quite a coincidence on the dealt straight flush. A few days ago, playing 50 line 5c JOB at the Silver Legacy in Reno, I was also dealt a king high straight flush. I was not even remotely tempted to do anything except hold all five, and take the 12,500 credits.

👍….wow OMT! Great….Ted, years ago we had a 2 cent game that allowed bets up to 100 units. Between that and One Eyed Jacks on the same machine, we killed it. ( Clone ). They didn’t let them stay in long once we hit them. First they put in huge spotlights overhead. That didn’t work and we all wore sunglasses. Shortly thereafter, they yanked them all. There was a crew of about 6 of us that would play them all night until we hit something!!! 😂. We weren’t partners, but all knew each other. Wow! That was a long time ago. 200 bucks went a long way on those machines. I was driving a 1987 Dodge Omni back then. My 2019 Elantra just turned 128k. We know where those miles came from. 😬

Olds, glad you had a decent trip VP-wise, and your car and the coyote survived. DDB is my game as you know. I only play quarter one line which works for me. Machine is 9/5 with a progressive rf.

👍. I may give it a try Sunday evening on quarters. I like having the option oh hitting on one of 3 lines. I have to see if I can find a decent game up there. I can get 9/6 single line, but I’m sure I can’t on either spin poker or Triple play. Somehow, the Mrs does fine on a 3 line nickel 8/5 machine Ultimate X. She does vary a bit on her holds. I don’t know the Ultimate X strategy cold, so I will stick with regular DDB. When she plays, she holds the kicker and I think the correct play is not to. One other odd hold she does hoping for a 5x multiplier on the next deal. She holds 3 high cards ( different suits ) hoping for the straight and a 5x following. Maybe that’s correct. Don’t know on Ultimate X. She also never holds 2 to a Royal with a ten. I can actually understand that one. It results in so many dud hands. Anyway percentage wise, she’s way ahead of me for the year. She’s even or better, but the downside and a big one is most of the time she needs a Marathon session to get those results.
