Short drive to a casino?

Seems like an awful lot of us live within an hour to an hour and a half's drive to a casino of some sort. Just shows how the industry is exploding all over the place. Gone are the days for me of driving 5 hours in traffic to A/C, although we had several nice trips there. My wife and I especially enjoyed Harrah's Marina being away from the pack so to speak. Anyway, I was just wondering if there is a map somewhere that lists all casinos throughout the country. If it does exist, it would be neat if you could click on the location on the map and be directed right to their site to check them out.

Olds,We don't have any in Texas except one in Eagle Pass which is a Native American casino with only class II videopoker so I won't play there. The closest casinos to me are 5 and 1/2 hours away. Much too far away for a day trip and not much fun in the winter during the short days.I take advantage of Beau's offers maybe twice a year and try to get to Las Vegas every other year. Besides that, not much "real" gambling for me.Given the long-term losses we all encounter, probably not a bad thing. Thank goodness for videopoker.com.

We have four fun casinos and my car can get to any of them in 45 min, mostly by expressway. This is providing the weather cooperates, it's not rush hour traffic and there are no accidents in my path. Be happy if you live further away from casinos as that should help you think twice before heading out!. We used to hit Vegas, AC, Reno, Tunica, ETC but no need for them so much anymore to get my fix.

Can't argue with you there Opaline....The neat thing about this site is the machines look exactly like the ones in the casino...Wish I could adjust the paytables some to match the casino and bet more than 5 credits though, but lots of fun anyway.

Yeah, I am about 30 minutes from my nearest casinos. I'm happy I'm not any closer to be honest...

Marie, unfortunately my car knows the way and just about drives itself to Mohegan Sun. I didn't rack up those 283,000 miles on it just going to the store and back and I can't blame the miles on work either since I have been retired over 10 years.

Yeah, two hours would be better for me too than one.

It's 80 miles to the Hard Rock in Tampa. I go once a week, so that's a minimum of 8,000 miles a year not counting road trips and vacations. If you factor in all that gas plus wear and tear, I lose more money on expenses than gambling loses. Funny thing, gambling itself is not the fun for me. I hate table games, but the challenge of trying to beat the machine is more fun for me than anything else I've tried. Love it!
