   The Mrs. and I got lucky in closing out our play for 2015. We had an overnight trip last evening and were back early afternoon today. The short version is Mrs. did OK on her DSTP DDB nickel game hitting a quad with a ten multiplier.
    I actually couldn't believe the machine I was playing. I haven't played the vanishing Double Down Stud game in awhile, but that is all I played last night for a total of about 6 hours. The regular Deuces Wild game on a quarter game actually dealt me 7 Wild Royals in 4 hours. The other machine with the same game gave me 1 Wild Royal in just 2 hours of play. I don't expect the above will ever happen again, but it put a nice little dent in my 2015 losses. For those who don't know the game, the dealt Wild Royal pays 200 for one when doubled. I had 5 in so all hits were really nice. This game isn't too friendly to CS play, unless you give it at least 3 or 4 chances at bet 5 after a dealt hit of 4 or more. I have noticed this throughout the year. In this instance, I was lucky enough to hit all of the Wild Royals at bet 5. We celebrated with a great Turkey dinner in the lounge and ( sorry VMAN ), no beer for me since the wife and I toasted with a few Pistachio Martinis. The casino was out of regular rooms, so for a nice added bonus, they gave us a beautiful suite on the house.

Mohegan Sun Jim. Pretty much the only one I go to now since with the folks, I have to stay close to home. In fact, I almost forgot I have tickets to see Aretha Franklin up there tonight so I have to get on the road in a few minutes. Funds are staying safely with the Mrs. though. Just don't feel like giving them anything back so close to a good trip. The Double Down Stud machines are few and far between now, especially those that have the Deuces Wild 12/7 option. Return is just under 98 percent long term. Not great, but I like the game because for one thing you can play twice as many hands per hour when you don't have to take the time to hold cards. Just one decision needed whether to double down or not before seeing your last card. A Happy and healthy New Year to all.

Also it is rare to see a casino go out and do something more for one of their frequent players, that is also a win for olds and the Mrs.
