Hedge and hope!

By hedging, you are likely preventing something big from occurring.
By hoping you are already admitting defeat, instead of having perseverance and discipline to stay the course and being willing to flame out repeatedly in order to reach your goal(s).

Hedge and hope, dink and dunk. Prevent defense often prevents a win. Penny wise, pound foolish. Endless variations on the theme. My all in segment was catastrophic. I won’t cut costs on quarter again. I may persist up the scale. It does make it more interesting. You will grant me that much.
