Have communicated with a few hosts from the casinos that I love to go to, they don't really want to address the smoking issue. So, I have stayed away from all the casinos and I really miss them. How in the world with a respiratory virus can you allow people to forcefully blow out smoke and still think you are keeping people safe? I understand that casinos are one of the last places for smokers to recreate and smoke, but as a person who is a nurse and has survived cancer for 17 years.....I don't think so.
Well said. Here in AZ smoking is banned indoors. However, the casinos are all on sovereign Native American land. Hopefully, at least some of the tribes will ban smoking as a result of their Covid 19 experience. What would be better is if non-smoking could be incorporated into the AZ-Tribal compacts that govern Native American casinos. Many of these compacts expire in 2023 and need to be renegotiated.

One small win for sanity.
Here in MI. an Indian casino called Turtle Creek reopened in June with no smoking. Sometime in July they changed half of the casino to smoking.Of course the entire place reeked of smoke all the way up to the hotel section which was still no smoking.
I have heard, have not been there to verify, that as of Mon. they returned to no smoking permanently!

BTW they are not paying attention to any constraints from the State or the Feds. they are paying attention to the customers who pay the bills!
Speak up! It worked here.
