I am farely new to vp but i got the basic concept. Just  purchased VPW a few days ago and would like to know what difficulty level closely resembles the casino mixed, beginner, intemediate, or andvanced?  I also found out the the .50 8/5 single hand JOB at my local casino max bet cost more than the  max bet on the software.  I accidently hit the max bet and it had me bet about twenty credits on one hand is that the usual max bet amout for this type of machine?

Intermediate is equivalent to random which is required by most state regs.

By far the normal for coins at max bet is 5, however, there are other machines with 10, 20, etc. Always a good idea to check the paytable before playing.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's "mixed" that is the random one.  Intermediate gives you intermeditate difficulty hands to choose from.

"Mixed" does give a random deal in VPW.  The Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced modes of play are training modes.  When VPW was first released, I was working in Mixed mode and under rare circumstances, it would present me only with hands that I had made errors on.  The programmers who developed the software figured out what the error was, corrected it and released a new version.  Kind of odd.  I think that VPW is maybe the only one that uses this nomenclature in their modes of play.  It is confusing if you have been using other software.

Current version is 1.12The file has been consolidated to a smaller download, which was the main reason for the new version.Previous versions have been mostly minor bug fixes and compatibility issues with certain systems, such as Vista compatibility, and these have been distributed to people that were experiencing problems running the software. The major updates have been Vista compatibility and the recent new smaller download size.Small bugs that have been fixed were mostly related to playing against the "strategy" cards rather than "perfect play." There were also a couple of bankroll calculator fixes. If you wish to have the latest version you can download the free trial from http://www.videopokerforwinners.com/freetrial/ to update your version to the latest. If you need a new activation code, contact support. You would only need a new activation code if you have a version older than 1.5, or if you installed  from a CD with the letter B in the version code.

Thanks for the version/update information, Webman. I just purchased the license about 2 weeks ago and got version 1.11. I was wondering about updating to 1.5 or later.
