sorry mike a, our computer at work has to be on large caps, sometimes forget,in heat of battle to turn back,I was yanking your chain.  Really.  No harm no foul and sorry if I came across too strongly.  I'm very much aware of the EBCDIC versus ANSI difference.

You need to ask WM to give you a hand with that second computer.  All is not lost!

I was able to load VPFW on both my desktop and laptop when I first purchased it, but when I bought a new desktop w/ Vista, I find that VPFW is not compatible with it and can't be loaded. I have emailed Bob concerning many VP subjects and this particular problem is the only one he has not responded to.

Loaded on other computers as well or just on the one desktop?

VegasVic14, have you contacted VPW support? How old is your copy of VPW?  There is a download version with Vista compatibility available now. It has been available for a long time now, which is why I ask how old your copy is.I can't guarantee that's the source of your problem, but it's the best place to start. If you send an email to vpw support they'll get you all set up. Or, download the free trial that is available on the site and send me a private message with your purchase information.  I'll get you an activation code personally.

Thanks for the info. I must have overlooked the support angle, instead looking for some more visible indication that the product was now Vista compatible. I followed through with all the steps and successfully downloaded VPFW. Seems to be working just fine except I have yet to hit a Royal.... (maybe I need to play more than 4 hands.   LOL)
Again, thanks for the tip.

I've used Bob's game and it's actually pretty good.  The tutorial can be turned off.

We, my wife and I, like Bob Dancer's VPW very much. It has proven to be a great learning tool for us. Plus, using the mixed setting has been identical to the kind of actual play we have experienced in the casinos.
