You can change your overall personal settings, or for each individual app, to prevent any messages from going to your friends. Also on your news feed, click in the top right corner of any post from Candy Crush etc and block it... you'll never be bugged by it again no matter what your friends' settings are.I use facebook to keep up with family and friends, and have my privacy settings set accordingly. I also don't take those privacy settings for granted so there isn't any valuable information on Facebook that I share, so I enjoy it for what it can do.
Not EVERY app gives you those options. Some do, some don't, and most will at least bomb out an initial subscription notice on your feed. And yeah, you can block each game... but you can only do it AFTER it's hit your feed, so you see it once, but you still see it once.

the internet has many good uses but many hazards using facebook exposes many folks to unnecesary hazards for business like "vp.com" it is free advertising like your local casino should have a facebook page. no one is looking to steal its identity or hack through it "friends" and have more of their lives on the open internet as google picks up any social media website one is a member of
