Should we be worried about this?

Right now the casinos main concern is making back the money that was lost over the last 2.5 months. They are running on a skeleton crew for all services except cocktail servers, who are out in full force. Most are doing temp checks and handing out masks if you ask, but some are not like M. I would totally keep my guard up if visiting any casino. Wouldn't hurt to have your own mask and your own sanitizer on you to wipe down any machine and seat you use as there are only 1 or maybe 2 people on the floor doing this. Be aware of your surroundings and if you are not comfortable with where your at, leave and go to another casino.

I think we will hold off on our trip until late summer/early fall.

I don't think it's a hoax. It is real. Just keep your distance and wash/disinfect your hand regularly and you should be ok.

Don't forget to wear your mask. There is a lot of evidence out there supporting wearing a mask. I know they are a PITA but wearing one along with hand washing, sanitizing, and social distancing are the only things we can all do to help get rid of the virus. I think getting a vaccine is still a long way off. Herd immunity may happen before we get an effective vaccine.

Vegas needs tourists right now, for sure. If you decide to visit now, just be prepared for the fact that minimal enforcement of rules is happening. Bring masks, sanitizer spray, your own hand wipes. Don't expect social distancing, it's non-existent.
From what we've observed since June 4th, you are on your own here. No one is looking out for you. The majority of the casinos believe they have done their job by posting signs to : (1) wear a mask, (2) don't get in the elevator with more than two people, and (3) observe the 6 foot markings on the floor by the cage. That's it, a bunch of signs no one reads except me. No enforcement once you are through the front door. Someone WILL plop down at the machine right next to you, someone WILL be smoking right next to you, someone WILL wear their mask around their neck while coughing.
Until the Governor forces the casinos to take this virus seriously, NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOU.
