Wow, states are handling things so differently from one another it's crazy.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 4:52 pmFor instance, this will make the smokers who can no longer smoke in the casino happy. If you live in New Jersey, and are a healthy 64 year old non smoker, a 25 year old smoker will get the vaccine before you. How’s that?
I haven't had a cigarette since college. But I'll gladly take a drag standing in line for a vaccine if it helps my chances. Go figure.

If it is determined that a healthy 64-year-old is at less risk than a 25-year-old smoker, explain your rationale for giving the person at lower risk the vaccine? After a year, I imagine science and medical experts have a pretty good idea of the relative risks each class of the population has.
Smoking is a nasty habit, but it is legal and I don't see how or why you would discriminate against someone for it. The idea is to stop the virus from spreading and it seems the best way to achieve that is to vaccinate the people most at risk.

eduardo,i am sure it was just an oversight.
-i asked you a couple of questions, would welcome your response to them.
-in the same post, yesterday at 8:48, i requested you take note of the many HATE filled posts from the other side. check out just today's posts from BR and SMR. have you bothered to offer them similar advice, or as the media has done, have you taken sides?

Do you want to stir up hate and vitriol or do you want to talk about the vaccine? Why does everything you post always end up in the gutter?

I did miss that post directed at me. I will do my best now:
Interesting question that seems to come up a lot. "Equal treatment" does not necessarily mean equal coverage. You seem to expect 50% positive news about Trump and 50% negative. That would be a failure of the media. Positive or negative coverage is often dependent on one's actions. If Biden were to crap his pants on stage at the inauguration, your measure would have 50% of the media saying "but it sure smelled nice." Some things are, or should be, demonstrably negative. And Donald Trump's boorish behavior was worthy of negative coverage most of the time. I would say the media at large was probably far too favorable towards him in that regard. When it comes to policy debate, my preference would be for the media to offer the arguments made by both sides and let the viewer decide. As far as that goes, I would say overall the media has a strong liberal bias that often deliberately portrays the other side unfairly. With some obvious exceptions that do the opposite.
What an odd question to have to address... I don't know the last time I showered with another person and the same is true of my female family members. I admit, I have failed to do my duty in checking for penises on people in public restrooms. We are at a strange place in society on this one that it has become so overblown. I see a lot of fear-based responses to an issue that has simply never played out in my life to my knowledge. If you want to be afraid, I will say you probably have a lot more to fear for young boys sharing a shower with a deranged man than any transsexual committing a transgression. Parents need to keep pretty close tabs on their kids in any situation. I would say shower facilities should be limited to the same gender, but not by law, simply by custom. I'd leave this on the local level to handle any highly personal exceptions. And castrate anyone who violates a child.are you in favor of some ex male(?) transgender using the same shower facilities as your wife/daughter/mother/niece?
No.do you believe in open borders and free taxpayer funded healthcare for EVERY person who manages to make it into this country?
We already have public schooling, so this really doesn't scare me at all. I would say nothing is "free," but if the budgetary side of it was worked out, I think extending high school education to college-level courses could potentially be beneficial to our society, sure. It would be complicated for the system to transition in this way, but it wouldn't really bother me. The education I (and likely you) received is simply not available any more under similar circumstances. [/quote]do you favor free college
I'd have to hear more details above the circumstances for this, but I would be opposed to it except in some extremely targeted situations.free housing
No.guaranteed income for everyone?
My concern has nothing to do with your "side" or right/left leanings. It is simply due to the extreme fear portrayed in your posts and the veracity of them. You seem angry all the time. I don't have these concerns for anyone else here right now on either side, no.have you bothered to offer them similar advice, or as the media has done, have you taken sides?

i won't bother to debate each position or comment from you. but, you have stated enough, that according to the dems/liberals, YOU ARE A RACIST!
welcome to the club. so, everytime they use that word, they are directing that directly at you. and, i am guessing that if i asked your position on a number of other issues, the left would likely categorize you as a nazi, on top of it.
b/t/w, your answer to shower facilities being handled by 'custom, rather than law', sounds nice, but antiquated and unacceptable these days. the left would never accept that. they want their 'base' to be able to do what ever they want. they might also label you as homophobic, for your position.

Often mistaken, but never in doubt.
