November 31st!

Post by stevel96a1 »

over 1.5 million downloads (more than casino verite by a 1.5milion from google play)
i emailed the developer about the software and his reply was

Hi,

We can't comment on someone else's game, but our game is also random.
Our "deck" is actually "shuffled" seven times.
That is, the deck is created with the cards in order, then randomized seven times.

Our coins are free without having to look at ads. Getting new coins is not related to the ads.
If getting more coins is tied to ads and thus more income for the developer, well....

Thank!

with that said 7 shuffles before the draw button is fair and random? are IGT shuffles 7 times as well?
would it matter shuffle 1 time or continue shuffle until deal/draw is hit?
would it matter if 7 times vs continues to shuffle until deal/draw is hit?
my question mainly being if random is random then it makes no difference as long its unpredictable and everyone would be in the same % of guessing right and right after x amount of times (or very close to it)

id also like to add my session results from igt 52 deck card game vp vs the above differs from day to night, very streaky on igt selective memory claims 66% of time playing is really hot or really cold rarely do i get stabilized position where bankroll stays intact. but the app seems to be the opposite 66% of the time it stays intact (the bankroll) and the other 1/3 of the time it goes south/north

With regard to fairness, if you randomly shuffle a randomly shuffled deck, you still get a randomly shuffled deck so, yes, it's fair. With respect to actual IGT games, it is my understanding that the cards are continuously being shuffled while it waits for you to push the deal/draw button. Whether the deck is randomly shuffled once, 7 times or continuously, it won't affect your long term results.

As a side note, it's interesting that this particular game developer chose 7 as the number of times to shuffle the deck. It may not be a coincidence based on the quote you provided, in which they said that they start with the deck "in order" and then "randomized" 7 times. There was study (and I can't remember by whom or when) which showed that, starting with an ordered deck, and performing the traditional casino-style riffle of two halves of the deck, it took 7 repetitions before the resulting deck could be considered random. However, if they are performing a true random shuffle, then repeating 7 times is not necessary.

I found it: https://math.hmc.edu/funfacts/seven-shuffles/

that is a bold statement, so its almost equal to (if not same) a roll of a dice as far as random can go will no effect in the next proceeding turn? its just really hard to accept this if you saw results id get at the casino compared to the claimers claim

The occurrence of streaks is to be expected with true randomness.
