I had always wondered why Bass Pro Shop would invest in such an extravagant lavish sprawling store in a very prominent AC location. The parking lot is also immense. It's the Trump Plaza of pro shops. I happened to run across my answer online: "Bass Pro has a sweetheart deal. CRDA kicked in $12.3M towards its $15M construction and Bass Pro keeps $11M in sales tax revenue over 11 years."
Hey, it does make for a hell of an anchor in town. But at such a steep cost. Talk about bass ackwards!

I don’t doubt it. I’m hardly their target audience. It just feels like such a hulking white elephant.

I’m still trying to win that annual Biggest Bluefish contest with my 10 foot surfcasting pole, I can almost reach the water from my front yard. Well, not quite, but it is only a 2 minute jog or 4 minute walk! I have come close over the years missing by a little over a pound and a half, but no cigar.

Thanks. I always either release them or give them away. Some people love them with mayo and tomato baked on top. Not for me. I will take baked Cod any day.

Baked cod works for me. I never refused salmon either. Those are some hefty prizes. You’d be like a kid in a candy store if you browsed at this BPS.
