What’s the odds drawing a royal on 3 lines

Post by starsky »

My husband was dealt 4 cards to a royal on a triple play machine. Of course he held the 4 cards and drew the Jack of hearts to complete the royal flush on ALL lines. What are the odds of this happening?

1 in 47 x 47 x 47

So 1 in 103,823.

You can tell him he's a lucky man. ;)

I drew the 3 exact same cards in a row once on triple play. Unfortunately it didn't improve the hands.

Each of the hands is a totally separate probability right? It seems pretty wild that this happens at all

Yes. Each individual hand is 1 in 47. So to get a certain card 3 times in a row is what was posted above.

I was once dealt trips (3 handed Ult X) and drew to quads on all three hands. (not a premium hand where kickers mattered) Calculated that as over 10000 to 1, if I remember correctly.
