Re: Caesars AC
What, they don't sell leaf blowers in your area of the country?

The point is that the 300 TC requirement for this $26 beauty would cost me $600. Similar to Olds’ -$700 for his $39 pizza dough gadget. Though he probably overplayed given his card level. I’ll never be in the loop for this stuff, and that’s fine.

And my point was to not play for the trinkets unless it is something worth going after. I get offers all the time and I probably go after less than 1% of them. Nor do I whine about those that I miss out on, there are more important things in life than to sweat stuff that isn't worth sweating over.

Agreed. It's hardly a whine. Just having fun with the offers. I may have at least entertained a chase offering until the recent switch from 150 to 300 TCs. They have really made their offers irrelevant. Congrats to the marketing team on their latest extortion effort.

The emperor has no clothes. Caesars AC has given up Caesar’s ghost on its quarter progressive JOB. I witnessed a dead carousel with black screens. After inquiring with a clueless slot tech, they revived within minutes. Unfortunately, the traditional full pay 9/6 was downgraded to an unplayable 6/5. Hours later, I noticed a grizzled bearded regular pounding away at his regular machine. I asked, “How do you like the new tables?” He had no opinion, as he hadn’t even noticed. I told him that I quit the carousel and advised him to do the same. He may have Stockholm syndrome by now.

Not everyone who steps into a casino is as savvy a gambler as you, FAA.FAA wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 8:10 pmThe emperor has no clothes. I’d organize a carousel boycott if not for the subsequent ban. Caveat emptor, suckers!

If they did that here in Ct, I might go back to day trading. I would certainly wear out my comps until they didn’t exist anymore. It took me months, but I finally did convince the higher ups to restore “ my machine “ to pre Covid levels. Probably only because they followed my suggestion on examining the daily take before and after and my own losing record on the pre Covid good paytable as well as a few of the other regulars. I find in general the slot people and managers are pretty clueless about such things. Only the bean counters who lump vp in with slots seem to even know what some of the terms mean. I don’t think they factor in the fact that even though many vp players may play 10 hours, they lose as much or more as slot players who only play an hour till they are wiped out. In Ct, the casinos keep 91 percent of the slot action which has Vp thrown in with it. My guess is they are trying to get that Vp number closer to their regular take on slots. My wild guess is even on 99 percent machines, they make about 5 percent due to player ignorance. A long since retired slot manager who actually really did know his stuff told me that about 15 years ago. Wait till AI kicks in on our VP machines. None of us may be playing anymore. . That’s just an opinion on my part, but I think it will be the wave of the future. I will elaborate more down the road on my Bizarro thread. I know a few ultra high IQ Geeks who are really into AI. They will be able to give me the scoop, though I have my own ideas already on how they will do it and make it somewhat legal whatever that means anymore.

Ha! I thought it was some sort of mirage. I could not process what just happened live before my eyes. The carousel went from dead to downgraded. And it will still get business because it’s in a prime location and just $1.25 a hand. I’m now better off on BP even if I short coin. What an outrage. I am just livid. Now I know how the other members feel about their local downgrades. This is AC. I thought this carousel was a sacrosanct untouchable.

No such luck in the declining world of VP…..Sad…especially when We/I leave so much money on the table.
