Monthly Contest
I enjoy playing contests as much as the next person, but when I'm over 30K behind the leader with only a few days left to even attempt to catch up, that ticks me off. Since I haven't been given 6 or 7 Royal Flushes it's hard to stay positive about anything. Those little winning rounds should be more evenly placed instead of focused on just a handful of people. I don't know how this happens but it's not RANDOM deals. Ok, that's my complaint. Just tired of not having a damn chance.

The only way to more evenly distribute royal flushes would be to make it not random. So unfortunately, that's not an option.
This is just how it works out when you have thousands of people playing, and it's really not surprising if you don't get a single royal flush in a given month with 15,000 hands played. That should happen more often than not.
Luck is not always evenly distributed. It does sound like you may be out of the running this late in the month, so you could always stop and wait until next month and see if things go your way earlier on, unless you are also trying for one of the achievements such as a top 100 finish.

Webman, Thank you for your reply but my problem is not the fact that I DON'T get Royal Flushes, it's the fact that the winners get too many Royals on their card runs. So this seems their daily sets are not random, but chosen the very first encounter with several Royals on the list..... like a string of hands for the month. I would think that every day, every hand should be a single, separate unit and not a 30 day grouping because that's what it looks like to me.
I've played this same program in casinos all over the US when I was working. My average of Royals was about 8 per year, and I would set and play for hours and hours... more than 5 games per visit. I'm just pointing out that the winners get a lot of Royal Flushes for the month and it's disheartening to get so far behind that there's no chance to compete. As of today I would need too many Royals to even think about getting close to winnings.

There are no predetermined hand strings here and the game doesn't even know who is playing it. The server simply chooses 5 cards when you press deal, and then random draw cards from the remaining deck when you draw.
The current leader has 3 royal flushes this month. Two royals holding 3 cards and one holding just a single card. That's hard to do, and yes... incredibly rare. Even though we see it every month.
Look at it this way: if you played by yourself every month for 4,000 months (333 years) you would probably hope to get that lucky a few times over that period with some streaks of multiple royal flushes close together. Well, if 4,000 people (an approximation) play each month then it's the same odds as that. 333 years of individual play happening over just a month. So we would expect several lucky people to get more than their "fair share" of royals in that time. And on average, about a third of players might get a single royal flush in a month and most will get none (a royal flush is around to 1 in 40,000 hands).
But here's to hoping it doesn't take 333 years for you to get a truly great score. You never know when you will be one of the lucky ones.

You can still win an iPad with only 109 entries. Behold Lazy Grandma (no relation to Lady Gaga)!

We're 3 days into the contests this month and the winner so far of the monthly contest already has TWO Royals, one just handed to him, and I assume the other he was able to deal into. This is what I mean, he's already $8k ahead of everyone without even trying. I can hardly get a straight flush or 4 deuces, or a Royal with deuces without having a blood clot so there's absolutely no chance of catching up. Not having fun here. I've stopped playing the contests for the past two months because of lousy hands. As for drawing into the iPad... I don't even think about that. No chance.

The current leader had one dealt, the other was holding 3 cards.
Much more shocking: I believe last month I saw someone LEADING with no royals, around the 20th of the month. Not sure where they ended up, I should have paid closer attention.
