Double rainbow. Second one on the right is very faint. Phone photos are not that great.

On a beautiful day like today 82 degrees with a nice breeze, I can’t even think about the casino. I got my power walk in however! very lucky to have a 30 second drive or short walk to get here. We have plenty of sandy beaches too. I just took the most scenic shots. Just happens to be high tide. You are looking out on Long Island Sound in Ct. The average depth up to about a mile or so out is only about 20-60 feet. Long Island New York is about 20 miles from here by boat, but a good 1 and 1/2 hours by car with sometimes horrible traffic issues.

Thanks guys. Every so often I have to pinch myself to see how lucky I am. Not in VP of course, but to be this close to the shore. I say this all time. Wish I could beam up the gang to Bizarro for a party there and another beam up for a party at the beach. Or a nice walk if nothing else.

I grew up 2 1/2 miles from the Atlantic on Long Island. Not like your beautiful Sound shoreline. Actually, it was in Brooklyn, which geographically is on the western tip of LI. I appreciate the photos.

just about the best Deli sandwich and Dill pickle I ever had was in Brooklyn. Maybe Queens a close second. Rye bread of course! . Katz’s has a location in Brooklyn too! In Queens, it was Sal, Chris, and Charlie’s. In Ct, it’s Golds. Haven’t been in years though. I did see Charlie Neil hit a homer in the first pitch of the ballgame for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Great player.
