New step added for posting in the forum

Post by Webman »

To cut down on Spam, we've added one step for members before they will be able to post/reply on the forum: Play 100 hands of either video poker or keno on the site before posting.

This should hopefully cut down significantly on those who come here simply to post links to unrelated products and/or spam messages.

For those who only want to participate in the forum and not play anything at all... I hope you will suffer through 100 quick hands of the best games on the planet and then join us here for the riveting discussions about all things video poker and more.

For those who have already played more than 100 hands? You are all set to continue posting as usual. :D

Thanks but no thanks, whenever there is a change whoever makes the change whether it's on this site or at the casino level they never care about the people they piss off with the change.

100 hands per day, week, month, year, or since one has been on the site? Are contest hands included? When is this effective? Please clarify.

Just 100 hands played, any game or contest, since joining. The idea being to eliminate the typical spammers who have absolutely no interest in video poker and are simply spreading their links around the web.

Most people here cleared this hurdle of 100 hands more than a decade ago and will notice no change, other than fewer posts advertising marijuana in broken english, illegal online casinos and Chinese universities.

We delete these posts rather quickly (usually) so you may not realize how often they occur. But it’s been an increasing nuisance and this should help.

First spam posts in over 5 weeks. It's been better than I'd imagined. :)

I’m either losing it or missing something. I don’t recall symbols to the left of the thread titles. Like a circle with lines in it or others have like a small flame attached. Some have a small red star to the edge of the circle.

Those have been there for about 3 years. But they are definitely new.
