Harrah's Atrium

Post by TripleTriple »

After many months of booking Atrium tower and being told upon check-in that "They aren't available", I finally was checked into a tenth floor mini-suite. I always liked these rooms before for a number of reasons. This time, when I entered the tower it was a totally fresh experience and after checking into the room I was surprisingly impressed.

The layout is of course much the same. But the appointments and the color scheme were mostly what I had hoped for. Bathroom upgrades with makeup mirror and multi-setting showerhead AND hand-held (no whirlpool- boo). Classy furniture and lighting. Excellent color scheme (green/black/grey/white) and coolness factor. No issues with wifi as I had experienced in other towers. Sunday night, so not many there, but I found later they had booked room adjacent to me to a foursome of partiers. I guess they wanted to make it efficient for housekeeping? We'll avoid that next time. Excellent city view and access to Diamond Cove. Access also to Coastal and Laguna towers. I just love the mesmerizing view from the top floor over the railing to the bottom floor. Watch your step.

I hope to score a top floor room to see what the amenities (full length mirrors, jacuzzi, wet bar?) might be since I probably paid for the renovations of at least a room or three. I'm booked there for NYE so good for a couple of couples. Only thing I'd like to see is a pocket door between the two rooms for privacy. Not sure how that would work for the bathroom though.

Anyone else stay yet? Impressions?

haven't been in 2 yrs but the last time i stayed in the atrium they had to come in and check the alarms and i was shown there was a pocket door between the living room and bedroom; it was right after the bathroom.

Excellent accommodations. But will the Cove leave you high and dry? Still shaking off the bad memories.

So, I spent last night in one of these Atrium rooms. I agree they were very nicely redone. I think the refrigerator should be in the sitting room though instead of the bedroom area. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Sounds very nice and comparable to the Mohegan Sun offerings

I would assume that such accommodations are not offered for the complementary one night stays for 5,000 TC players.

Not based on TCs, based on ADT. I would think you would know that by now.

Wishful thinking. Where can Average Joe claiming their TC room expect to be lodged?

Jeter is 100% correct. It is all about ADT. I know a diamond player who can't get a room. His problem he goes EVERY day and bets small and does not stay long. He gets diamond because of frequency trips but Caesar is not interested in him.
My sister in law has a platinum card but gets huge free play, rooms everywhere and lots of tournament offers. Why...because she goes 2 or 3 times a year and spends a ton each trip. She just plays slots.

Casinos love the big gamblers, especially slot players.

Thats y the casinos r not thrilled with us v poker people! slots take 10 to 15% v poker way less although by lowering paytables they made it better for them . eg. if u put 100 k coin thru at a 1% v poker say at a dollar denom. full pay bonus poker 99.17 % during a 2 day stay your theoretical loss is apx.1000 dollars. Your theo. loss at a 10% slot vacum cleaner is 10,000 dollars ! for the same visit ! guess who they like just a tiny bit more ! Its your Theoretical loss that concerns them most ! they dont even mind u winning occasionally.
