Cross Country Casino Trip

Post by case »

Due to covid it has been almost two years since we did our cross country tour. That is about to change in less than a week. We work out a route so we can get as many comp rooms as possible and even though we have not been in US casino since March 2020 comp rooms were everywhere as casinos need players.

Here is the route for the first part as we really have not finished the last part.

Dec 1,2 Blue Chip casino Michigan city Indiana. This is a B-Connected casino and both nights comped 5hour and 30 minute drive
Dec 3,4 Par-A-Dice casino Peoria Illinois. Another B-Con casino and both nights comped. 3 hours
Dec 5,6 Harrah's Kansas City MO. Caesar casino and both nights comped. 5 HR 45 Min.
Dec 7 Boot Hill casino Dodge City Ks. No comps room. Cost 144.65. 5 HR and 13 min.
Dec 8 Route 66 Casino Albuquerque NM. Comp room 7 HR 41 min.
Dec 9 Twin Arrows casino (near Flagstaff AZ. Cost 153.00. 4 HR 8 Min.
Dec 10,11 Rio Las Vegas NV. Caesar Casino both nights comped. 4 HR 18 Min.
Dec 12,13,14 Sam's Town Las Vegas. B-Con casino all 3 nights comps.
Dec 15,16 Treasure Island Las Vegas. Rooms comped plus 75 free play and 30 food
Dec 17,18,19 Orleans casino Las Vegas. B-Con casino all 3 nights comped plus 100 free play for me and 100 for wife. This offer was a bit of a surprise.
Dec 20,21 California casino Las Vegas. B-Con both nights comped.
Dec 22,23,24,25,26 Harrah's Laughlin NV. All 5 nights comped under My wife card. 1 hour 32 min
Dec 27,28,29,30,31 Harrah's Laughlin NV. All 5 nights comped under my card. I did not expect to get New Years eve comped but it worked out.
Jan 1,2 Harrah's AK-Chin near Phoenix. Caesar casino both nights comped. 4 HR 23 min

That is as far as we have planned. We are probably going to San Antonio Texas for a few days and will have to pay down that way for rooms. Will probably stay down south and travel I-10 highway towards New Orleans. We will be able to get lots of free rooms in Biloxi MS and Tunica MS as we gradually head north, but we may venture into Florida as I have a brother down there.

At each stop we will explore the area and go see any attractions we are interested in. We have lots of food comps we can use as well to keep the prices down. Gas will be our biggest expense.(and gambling)

Blue Chip, Harrah's Peoria and Harrah's Kansas City we have never set foot in and yet by logging into their website were able to get free rooms. This is because we play at other B-Connected and Caesar properties. Harrah's Laughlin is the easiest place to score rooms. We also have spent many winters in that area so that helped as well.

So that is the first part of our long awaited trip. Living in Canada is not much fun in the winter and we have been stuck here at home for too long. Wish us luck!

Yep, case; a full, fun, and hopefully profitable itinerary. As far as Blue Chip in Michigan City, IN you should think about stopping into Four Winds in New Buffalo Michigan as they are only 20 minutes apart. Blue Chip is a spacious casino and the last time I was there the video poker was tucked together toward the back of the casino. At Blue Chip push for a Spa Blu Tower room as the other hotel is showing its age.

Par-A-Dice Casino in Peoria, IL is a floating yacht that is permanently moored to the shore. I haven't been there in years but the casino has been remodeled since I was there. I think they only have about 1,200 gaming machines so video poker may be a bit slim.

Best of luck to you and your wife.

Have a great, safe, and enjoyable trip. If you guys happen to work your way up to the Northeast next spring or summer, I may be able to arrange a comp overnight for you at Mohegan Sun. It would probably be a Monday-Thursday as they have really tightened up on things, but still offer 99 percent quarter games. No smoking except outdoors as of this writing. Hope that continues. They actually play a recording about it a couple of times every hour or two. Very clean and they follow the latest protocols too. Now if I could only win consistently. 🙄

Have you looked at gaming promos for your dates? I see 5x tier credits 23-25. TV giveaway drawings 24-25. Gift days (150 TCs) 23 & 30. And progressive reward credit multiplier 28-30 up to 15x if you play all three promo days. Video poker eligibility unknown.

Nevada is a different realm.

As I recall historically at Harrah's Laughlin, the northernmost large room of the casino was designated entirely non-smoking, with notification signs at the access points. But lately within the last year or so, they've been compressing the non-smoking. Now the boundary is designated by a placard on a stand slowly moving north toward center of the room. The only thing stopping it now is the table games pit. If the boundary continues moving, they'll end up with mixed smoking and non-smoking tables within the same small pit.

We have registered for the 5X tier credits, but have not heard about the 15X reward credit. Will check that out.

I have always wanted to go to Mohegan Sun and also Foxwood. Your offer might be used. Thank you.

Promo details:

That's from an email. Says exclusively for <me>, but it's almost certainly a general promo because I don't have any significant play history there.

Wow! It must have taken a lot of work to get all that organized (and, as you've said, you're only partly done). It made me tired just reading about it.

Good luck!

Case, I hope you have a self-driving car. Lots of long boring miles, especially out west.

Yes we have done the drive many times. Kansas is certainly boring but we have broken the drive up into shorter distances. We have done the drive in 3 days but those long drives are behind us now. The biggest challenge is food as we try to stay on a keto diet. But if we are ready to eat we will eat whatever we can find. Just don't want to be eating restaurant food and gain too much weight as all our food will be ordered.

Dinghy thanks for that info. We will ask about the promo while in Laughlin.
