What is going on in Las Vegas? Anyone know?

I just got back today from Nevada. I was wondering if anyone happened to know what is going on there. We went to the following: Flamingo: Some video poker. Bally's, Planet Hollywood, Paris: Hardly any video poker. The next day MGM, The Park, New York New York: Hardly any video poker. Fortunately I was at the Palms where there was a ton but very disappointing everywhere else. Anyone know why there is a lack of machines anywhere? Did play some as I said at Flamingo and the Virgin hotel and casino.
