i would very much enjoy seeing these greedy corporations suffer some bad karma for this.
i tried to link a Fortune Magazine article about the corporations deliberately making vegas unfriendly for medium and low rollers in favor of high end players but the Fortune site only allows 1 free view and you have to then pay up to view. more greed
Greed triumphant

For those of us who used to love hunting the floor for good pay tables, it's sad indeed. We have all seen it... harder and harder to find a good game to play these days.
It feels like they are trading some of their most loyal gamblers for tourists. Hard to believe this will pay off in the long run. Worse still, with the poor pay tables, gambling is simply becoming less enjoyable (even for the tourists).
It seemed much better when casinos had a variety of pay tables to lure in both types. Find a good pay table if you know where to look, but lesser ones on the same floor for the uneducated.
Even if you disregard the educated gambler, games just aren't as fun if you lose your money too quickly. In my opinion, people will find other things to do if they don't get enough play for their bankroll. This might pay off for a single visit but will they keep coming back if you blow through your bankroll in 20 minutes instead of an hour?

"People are figuring out something's wrong, but it is just not obvious what
that is"
?
A triple zero is not obvious? A "Pays 6:5" staring at you all day long is not obvious?
What happens when the next recession or pandemic hits and the "high value" player vanishes? So too will your profits and casino. Fools. Damn fools.

My late wife who started going to Vegas in the 60s said people were treated much better when the mob ran the casinos.
