For those who may be interested, the new Bally's Chicago TEMPORARY casino opened today. It is located at the old Medinah Temple, 600 N. Wabash, Chicago, IL.
Its hours of operation are 8:00 am - 4:00 am, 7 days a week. It has 800 machines so don't look for much in video poker. If you do decide to visit, nearby parking is expensive but the casino does have discounted parking vouchers after a player earns a certain number of points in a day.
The permanent Bally's Chicago casino hasn't started construction yet, that will be a minimum of 3 years before that opens it's doors. The other casino under construction in the south suburbs, Wind Creek Casino, is shooting for an early 2025 opening. I do not know of any jitneys that will serve either of these casinos.

Bally’s Chicago must install a revolving bar to match Bally’s AC. It’s so damn slow that it takes an hour to make significant movement. But any novelty is a plus. Put in a good word for it. Staff will be fresh, new and not yet depressed or jaded, another plus.
