Vegas had the hottest June on record and last year they had the hottest July on record. Make you wonder what it will be like in the future. Climate change is real.
Why'd they stop calling it "global warming"?

At the (in)famous summer resort all four days. Four day trips spell almost certain doom, can I possibly show discipline to only play 3 of the 4 days? If I drink at the bar all day I can spend a few hundred and basically skip that day and the next day sleeping it off. Then another day at the beach and avoid the horrendous pay tables at Trop, leaving only one day of 5 Star punishment. Plan B- just play craps.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TT, this trip doesn't have much to recommend it beyond the "free" room generously conferred upon Horrors' likeliest victims. Room ominously rhymes with doom. Definitely take one day off from play to avoid going even deeper into the red. I may join you tomorrow. It would be a blast to experience the AC hustle and bustle on this weekend, even if it it means logging yet another -$100+ day. I usually end up regretting my decision not to just play craps.

One thing that disturbs me regarding the climate change issue is that our planet has existed for some 4.5 billion years, but our temperature records cover only the most recent two or three hundred years. Do we really know that these "record temperatures" are, in fact, the highest ever?
They are NOT the highest ever!
Very recently (based on earths age) there was a period called "The Great Warming" from apx. AD 1050-!400. Temperatures rose more then than we have seen yet. Also 25.000 years ago my lot in MI. was covered by 1-1/2 miles of ice. I also have a book with a chart of Earth temp. changes over 80,000 years some very dramatic! What caused these changes? CLIMATE CHANGE! Ceartainly not man made.

Getting back to the OP's poll question, I am not making any planned trips to a casino during the period of July 4 - July 7, 2024. Unplanned trips are a different matter altogether. What I was thinking about doing is to go to a casino and not gamble but rather, play on this site. It would be playing in a casino, right?

😂 Funny not a bad idea at all. I should probably do that on my next trip which may be Sunday the 7th. Another reason would be to avoid the almost always big giveback on the trip immediately following a nice hand pay.

No we don't know that but when temps get too high it is not just humans that struggle. Aslo the record heat brings up water temperature and wicked storms result. Wonder what the hurricane season will be like. That hurricane Burl that just went through Jamaica was the strongest this early in the season on record. (I did not fact check this but heard it on a news program).

Here at the Borgata it must have been the worst attendance I have ever seen for the July 4th. Did the people stay away because of no fireworks out here in the Marina district. Or is it the economy. The only firework in AC were on the boardwalk.
IMO the attendance this year here at the casino is down compared to other years. Mothers day, Fathers day, Memorial day not very crowded compare to other years
No luck for me last night. But, My girlfriend she did OK hit a few little jackpots at the MGM sports bar.
We'll try again tonight.
