I asked the tech support at the ZEN site why there aren't any VIDEO poker tournaments besides the single and high roller choices that have always been there. I wanted to know why it all seemed to be just the Hold' Em games now for all of their tournaments, etc! I thought that was so one-sided. VIDEO poker players want the same action too! I was informed that the Zen site people are intending to remove video poker as a featured game with their software update to occur on 1/5/12.
I think this is a terrible idea/mistake. I do understand it's not in the poker "room" in real casinos, but then maybe Zen could open up a "Slots" floor too, like they have the Poker Room???
I know I won't be playing (and never have) any of the other poker-table hold 'em games and tournaments. Not really too fun in my opinion. My concern, is, will that only apply for the Zen tournaments, and only the Zen site? I mean if it's the video poker.com site too...I will have to go elsewhere. I think this is all a real mistake...I mean if they catered to video poker players with all the new tournaments and opps for prizes, they would increase their customers and their enjoyment big time! Does anyone else feel like I do?
Zen site is removing VIDEO POKER GAMES!!!

LonesomeDove, I didn't see your posting earlier today. I am not sure that I understand your post. I had already prepared a post on this topic. Let me make it in my open thread and then i will look your post over again.

LonesomeDove, I have read your post multiple times, and it makes no sense to me. There is nothing wrong with the present version of the Zen software intended for Videopoker.com members, except the screen resolution bug. All VP tournaments take place as scheduled. I played in 4 DDB $5 cash prize tournaments at 6:30, 7:00, 8:30, and 9:00 pm on Monday night. If you click on the tournaments button, and don't get a videopoker button that brings up the list of the videopoker tournaments, then you clearly have the wrong version of the software. If you registered with Zen at some other site than Videopoker.com, then you probably didn't get the right version of the software.

We were just made aware that the current software release did not
include video poker. Zen will be adding back video poker in a future
release. They have not provided a specific date but as soon as we know
we will pass the information on.

Regarding Video poker tournaments: I am not talking about the regular $5 ones then have always been there. I am talking about why Video Poker was never included in all the newer updated tournaments added the last year for all these new prizes, etc. There are dozens/pages of royal Hold'em, Texas Hold'em, and ufc knockout tournaments with opps to win all kinds of prizes, points, etc. I just don't understand why VP wasn't included in the new opportunities, and new promotions/tournaments. Unless they are there, and I don't see them. When I asked about it, was when I was informed that Zen was discontinuing VP games/tournaments (the ones always there, and with no plans to do like the other games) on January 5th. I too have won several of the $5 contests. Just felt us VP players should also get some of the newer chances offered too LIKE the table/type games do. Is that more sense to you?
