We divide our gambling between Florida and Biloxi. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Comped rooms are easy at both. The Florida Hard Rocks have better comp point programs. Their program favors regulars. Mississippi has a 3% state tax on all hand pays. Biloxi has more casinos and the Gulf. Gas is dirt cheap in Biloxi. Restaurants are better in Miami. Both are different enough to make it interesting.
You really can't compare video poker in the South East with Vegas. All Vegas has is gambling and the competition among casinos is great for players. If playing positive VP games is essential to your enjoyment of the game, save your money and play in Vegas. We haven't noticed any appreciable difference. The best single day playing VP I every had was in Biloxi. I play positive VP games in Vegas and have not done nearly as well. Luck is where you find it.

Why bring up Las Vegas in the thread? Where was a comparison being made? Is in in the hope that a response will be made and then "The Expert" can be mentioned?

The man was comparing Biloxi, Vegas or Laughlin to Florida. I want members to know what to expect. What this person didn't mention or doesn't know is the VP odds in Hollywood are better than any VP game in Biloxi and there are NO state taxes.rayj wrote:We will sooner travel to Biloxi, Vegas or Laughlin then give the Seminoles more of our money!

I spotted the guitar shaped hotel under construction when flying in to Ft Lauderdale last August. Looks cool.

How do you know they may not know that the VP odds in Hollywood are better than any VP game in Biloxi and there are NO state taxes? And why wouldn't you post this information in the earlier posts you made in this thread? And that you made no mention of Laughlin?FloridaPhil wrote: ↑Sun Feb 10, 2019 12:18 pmThe man was comparing Biloxi, Vegas or Laughlin to Florida. I want members to know what to expect. I would think if you are going to make a comparison you would mention that. I don't know what this person has against the Seminoles. Maybe he's George Armstrong Custers's great great great grandson?
The better VP odds in Hollywood are in the high limit room. I don't play high limit VP. I also don't talk about playing high stakes VP on this forum for reasons which I have stated numerous times before. I have never been to Laughlin. I play in Florida and Biloxi on a regular basis.

So you only reveal now that the better video poker odds at Hollywood are in the high limit room. You also preach against playing high stakes video poker?
Have you ever sat for a deposition?
I apologize for thinking that you've been to Laughlin even though you say you haven't. I thought maybe you had considering the number of times you've stated that you and your wife have played video poker all across the country and that you thought there were few here who've played as much video poker as you have.
Yes, I've been to Laughlin, several times.

I am not preaching against anything. What you do with your money is your business. I think it's potentially harmful for an expert to announce to the general public that you can live a great lifestyle by risking millions of dollars a year gambling in a casino. Is this required to build credibility as an expert? If your strategy is that good, you should be willing to let players try it and decide for themselves.
We have not played VP in every possible location. The list of casinos where we have played is extensive. We normally play where the casino gives us some reason to play there. So far we have been given no reason to play in Laughlin.
