My cousin and I visit Las Vegas a couple of times a year. We usually stay downtown. I play video poker and my cousin loves the table games. I have been trying to convert my cousin to play VP more and more each trip.

On our last trip in October, we were at a casino where both bars had Double Double Bonus Poker Progressives. I decided to go to the back of the casino to play VP and my cousin decided to play 3 card poker in the front of the casino. I tried a couple of machines and it was slim pickins. I moved to a third machine and it dealt me hearts-7AQK10. Of course I dropped the 7 and hit the J for $1335.00 royal!

After I was paid out I ran up to the tables and told my cousin. She told me I should have been playing at the bar by the tables as the royal was quite high-$1692.00. I told her I would play for a bit, hoping to hit the aces and a kicker-it was over $550. Again, I tried a couple of machines and got nothing. I sat in a corner and told myself one more try. I was down to my last two hands and hit the royal! I almost fell off of my chair-two great ones in about an hour. My cousin came over and couldn't believe it either. She was not doing well at the table so I told her to try VP again. She said she would think about it and wanted to try another casino. I got paid and played for a bit more. I decided to catch up with my cousin. As I was walking towards her direction, my phone rang-my cousin was calling me as she just hit a royal for $1,265.00!!!

Yes, we had a great trip! And my cousin did play more VP for the rest of our stay.
