Re: Harrahs Total Rewards
I know what you guys mean, I was just pointing out all Harrah's properties in general. It wasn't just one casino it's been several of theres.
If I'm winning, I really don't care about comps or much else, though I do care about an enjoyable place to play I won't stick around somewhere and keep losing. Plus they have my fav table games at better payoffs than most places (10x odds on craps instead of 3x,4x,5x) and 3-2 on blackjack as opposed to 6-5.
FWIW - the one in St. Louis does have some true full pay machines, and some others that are very close, those short you 1 on a Full House on a couple of the no widely played games (like SDB & SDDB).

Shorting 1 on a full house is enough to make a game unplayable (for me). This drops the payback by over 1% which makes it <99% for the games you mentioned. I have enough problems winning on >100% games.

we live about a 7 hr drive from ac,so we get free rooms a lot,but don't win a lot.i complained ,and they said play a different machine.i hope harrahs doesn't go the route tropicana took, and expand too much,as they don't have the wealthier western players to support them,as las vegas casinos do.

Tropicana owners are expected to file for chapter 11 protection this week. Don't expect a whole lot til the dust settles.

I'll confirm the 11,000 point limit for Diamond at Harrah's, raised from 10,000. I do have a good experience at Harrah's in both Reno and Tahoe (Harvey's and Harrah's) in terms of service, nice rooms, and decent comps. One of the things I like is getting free rooms in locations that are useful to me--but that just happens to be my situation.
The paytables aren't good, though. I've never had any problems with rude employees although a week ago they got stubborn about fixing a bill acceptor...I'm not sure why that was since it would seem to be in their best interest to have the machines take my money.

We like getting the room comps from Harrahs. We're going to Tunica in July. But as far as play goes....I give Harrahs a D-...... I've hit way more royals in the Indian casinos then at Harrahs, and we've been to just about all of harrahs properties.......We are going out tonight...gonna try our luck at the Del Sol in Tucson.....

My guess is you won't see any royals at any of the Harrah's properties in Tunica either. I would have to check but if I'm not mistaken in 7 years I have hit 4 at the Grand and saw about that many others hit.

Didn't do very good tonight. Started at the new Desert Diamond which I swore I wouldn't go to again. Their 8/5 DDB sucked just as it did the last time we were there. Went to their other property. Hit a few quad 2's and 4's on their 7/5 DDB, but managed to escape without visiting the always paying ATM.We had our fix for now. Have to hold off until July.....

harrahs total rewards is a joke.the 3x play doesn't count towards your tier score, which is diamond card,etc..once in awhile you get a whopping 500 reward credits, which is actually $2.50,if you exchange them for cash.their free rooms are a big help however, and free buffets.
