It occurs to me that I would like to weigh in re Harrah's comps.  We have been going to Harrahs properties for a number of years and have never had any complaint.  We always find their personnel to be helpful, generous and good mannered.  The comped rooms, some with upgrades, are more than adequate.  Sometimes, just to get off the strip its fun to stay at the old gal, the Rio.  BTW, my biggest wins have all been at the Rio.

I don't play for comps because of amount of coin-in and don't log enough hours to make a dent. If I remember correctly, many complained of poor paytables at Harrahs properties and amount of coin-in necessary to maintain a good status ie:diamond level. Not many complained of the rooms or the service, just the gaming amenities. With more properties lowering VP paytables, this will be the norm I'm afraid.

THAT would have made a better forum story than than FOUR ROYALS IN ONE DAY in AC! Seven stranded included a woman in a wheel chair and firefighters had to lift people two floors above the stranded car! I was there a week ago. Did you ever read Jean S's book suggesting carrying baggies in case you need one? She meant when leaving a buffet, for a little snack later on so you can play machines longer! Baggies might be handy in a stuck elevator sometime, too.  Have fun with the contest and carry on without me. I have to leave early in the morning on a fall pilgrimage to three or more Northern MI Native American casinos for four days.
