I sure hope the next contest starts soon. The RS stuff settles down during contests, because his output of articles and e-letters drops dramatically then. Why is that? Doesn't leave us much to comment on.
To that CD fella in colorado; I seem to recall someone pissing and moaning about the contests being rigged sometime last year, do you recall? a few of us thought it was a pseudo-Robbie because the leader had gotten a huge dealt hand in the STP contest I believe it was, anyways, he said it was a waste of time to try and win because the winner was pre-determined or something to that effect. What a bunch of road apples.

It's a "cycle" thingie CD.
But about RS, I do appreciate him. I do! More traffic has been generated on VP.COM by HIS "controversial" (yeah, I sugar-coat) methods and those who subscribe to them than any other topic on the entire forum! In fact, there are times that I can almost feel his presence here (doo-do do-doo to Twilight Zone tune).
there are none so blind as those who will not see.
You follow more blindly than anyone here. You offer no good reason to believe what you say you do. If it's merely about faith, you have chosen the wrong God. Your suspicions have led you away from clear facts. You wander like a duck. Waddling. Quack.
Oh No! The Aflac duck . Now , I understand. "Bill" to follow. I was going to suggest it might be a Platypus, but I can't spell that either. Wait, wait, don't tell me, it is a DODO bird. It must be early because I just cracked myself up.

He does give us the opportunity to discuss VP issues, and we usually get that stuff addressed seriously before the yuk-yuks start. Usually.
I was typing away last night at one of my responses and thought, this is silly! He never did a test like that, and now he's got everyone jumping through hoops. I'm a note-taker during sessions, but the thought of taking down the results of 26K consecutive hands (even over multiple sessions) gives me the heebie-jeebies. RS doing it? Mr. Disorganized? Sitting down at a nickel machine and playing one coin at a time? Why not a 2-cent machine since it's just testing, anyway? He'd have to ask one of the casino employees where the machines for low-rollers were located.
So I'll go out on a limb and say that it's just a load of...load of...HOOEY! There, I said it! I apologize for my bad language (), but I'm getting riled.
Here's a challenge to him - I'm doing lunch today at one of my fave places, the ol' Golden Corral. I'll PAY for his if he meets me and shows that he actually did such a test. I won't settle for a piece of paper showing the bottom-line, though (can't fool CD with something like that), I want to see all 26K tick marks. I'll be waiting!

In fairness, I believe the 26,000 was the total hands played, so he would not need to make a mark for each one, if he were just recording the draws of which he speaks, and made a mark every 100 hands or so. It's still quite tedious to keep count of 100 hands in your head without marking anything, so 10 or so would be more appropriate. Checking your coin-in at a casino where such things are easily figured would be more practical for total count.Having said that, the number of hands he played is irrelevant any way. For this test, all that matters is how many draws he made holding the necessary 4. That would be rather easy to keep track of. I still have no reason to trust the results and have never witnessed any such pattern of same-value cards. It is possible that he recorded them accurately, but unlikely.Perhaps some of our regular players here would like to keep track of their own results on these 4-card holds (in a casino) just for kicks.

I still believe I could find someone to put up a lot of cash for this particular example if he had the balls to try and prove it with witnesses. 50 or 100 grand would not be out of the question.
