Palms
I would like to thank damule for suggesting the Palms to me on my last trip. The pay tables were fantastic given how close it is to the strip. I will give them more play in the future (even though I lost this trip).
I'll give a more complete trip report tomorrow if I have time, but wanted to say thanks for the suggestion because it really was surprising.

No, sorry. I haven't built up the nerve to try TDB in the casino anywhere yet, so I didn't look.

Dont try it! You will become addicted like I was on the cruise-every time I was dealt a pair of ACES the 4000 coins payoff for 4/kicker blinded me LOL

vpfree lists the Palms best TDB at 9/7.

I can't say I verified that it's current but I had good luck finding the other games I was looking for.
To answer your question, Double double is crazy enough for me. I don't think Triple Double is in my near future, personally.

Eduardo, given how often quads and better actually occur, would you be willing to risk losing the extra 5 coins for a trip? I know trips are more likely to hit than quads and over time, that would raise the variance up something awful versus say DB or JoB although not as exciting when those biggies do hit.

Eduardo..i had heard the 9/7 at the palms was only for $1. can you confirm? I had also heard south point had 9/7 at the quarter level. since i play 5 play most of the time, $1 is out of my budget. I save the big bucks for when i hit the 21 tables!

vpfree has the Palms 9/7 listed as quarters, near the lounge (sequential royal, too). I can't verify as I'm no longer in Vegas.
Southpoint looks to have a number of 9/7 machines at lots of denominations, so it's probably a winner if that's your game.
But with 10/6 DDB and FULL PAY Deuces, I would have plenty to play there as well. Maybe next trip.
