We'll be spending 6 days at the Golden Nugget ... our first time staying downtown ... any suggestions of where to go ... where to stay away from?  Good eats?

Let me know how the rooms are. We'll be staying there first time in
 early Aug. for anniversary.
We usually stay downtown and like the action also. Good eats at Main
 St Station.
 Lots of luck!

Mainstreet Station is the best. Make sure you sign up for their players card so you get the scratch cards when you hit quads in VP.

...then you were playing below the $0.25 level, as the minimum amount on a scratch card at the $0.25 and above level is $2.00.

MSS has 9/6 JoB in the bartop games right by the buffet -- good VP and fast drink service makes me happy.  :)

I go to Vegas every couple of months and the only place downtown I play is the El Cortez on freemont street, 600 block. It has a lot of full pay nickle and quarter progressive VP. Good place.
