[QUOTE=joechgo] I actually got a corporate offer - two free nights plus two tickets to Sammy Hagar.Do you know if this can be exchanged for other concerts such as Eagles/Bruno Mars/Lady Gaga?  Or are they pretty strict on the offer being for the one in the mailing?

I think at your level of play you should be able to. The only problem might be availability. We did not decide on the Eagles right away so because of that we are currently on a waiting list for tickets. Our host seems confident we will get tickets. We currently have the rooms reserved but are awaiting confirmation of Eagle tickets before we lock in airfare. I would call my host and tell him/her what you want to do.

Press hard for those Eagles tickets. I saw them in Vegas this year (and I ended up with an extra, unused ticket - DANG). One of the best concerts that I have ever seen. Two hours plus - with about a 15 minute break midway. The Eagles REALLY still enjoy playing in concert, and it shows.

I agree with what has been posted here......Tahoe (and by extension Reno) is one of my all time favorite places to play, stay and gamble even though I have not been there since 2007.    But there was a time period, from 2005 thru 2007 when I visited Tahoe and Reno about once every other month for several days at a time (and I'd also be in Vegas about once a month.)   Back when I lived and worked out in California from 1992 thru 2007 I found myself in Nevada quite abit, both for my actual job as well as for my off work time, vacations and any other excuse I could make.I found Tahoe to be paradise, and I often lament that AC could have remained the paradise it was if they had followed Tahoe's example.   Harvey's lake tahoe was always a favorite, before and after Harrahs (and then CET) bought it out.     In Reno, my favorite was always El Dorado and Peppermill, but I never liked the fact that Peppermill was off the beaten path because I used to love walking around downtown Reno, especially in the autumn!   Tahoe in October is gorgeous too.Video Poker in Northern Nevada was always the best, much better than even the best Vegas joints, because the folks in Tahoe and Reno understood what AC does not understand.  to get people to visit them, they need to be "better".....Reno casino execs that I used to talk to back in the early to mid 2000s used to say that in order to get people to visit them from cities like Sacramento or the Bay area, they need to offer better payoffs, and superior service than Vegas.   ANd they followed through with it.....Maybe I will find some time in late October to be in Reno for Halloween!

Hey joechgo, did you ever get to exchange for other concert tickets? We get to Tahoe late tonight and are looking forward to seeing Journey and Steve Miller Band in a couple of days at Harvey's Outdoor Arena.

Going to play some of those 9/6 dollar triple play JOB machines ( 99.54% ) to crank out my 2500 points each day. Wish me luck.

No I didn't.  I didn't even ask.I ended up taking advantage of the 7-stars benefit of gettting a ffree (taxes only) cruise on NCL.  I'm taking a 7-day cruise out of Venice.I also have a Vegas trip in October scheduled.I anticipate going back to Tahoe 1-2 times this winter to ski.Have fun on your trip.  I hope you get a royal.  Don't forget to try the quarter machines - same fun and no W2-Gs on royals.

We always love our Tahoe Trips. The concert was both good and bad. Steve Miller put on a way better performance than Journey did IMO. While Steve Miller still sounded almost as good as he did in the 70's, Journey was way too loud and their new Filipino lead Fa La La La La.... La la la la was either on drugs or just trying to improvise a little too much. We saw Journey there a couple of years ago and they were much better.

We had another couple with us so we did not gamble as much as we usually do. Had a moderately losing trip. Had a few decent hits and one really good day but the other three days could never get anything going. I played mainly on the $1 triple play machines against the wall at Harrah's in the HL room.

One morning a lady one machine away drew 4 to a royal and hit two royals for a jackpot of $8,000. Second trip in a row someone next to be did that. I am a jackpot magnet. All you have to do to make money playing VP is find me and sit next to me and the jackpots are sure to roll in.

Our next trip to Tahoe will probably not be until our Anniversary next February. Possibility maybe one more trip there between now and then if we can figure out a way to squeeze it in.

How about you, do you have any Tahoe trips coming up?

Weren't you also going over labor day to see the Eagles?

I don't have an Tahoe plans right now.   I just took the annual NCL cruise (out of venice) and had a great time. I also have a Vegas trip planned for October and I'm on the wait list for a 7 stars cruise in November.

So no Tahoe planned as of now. Probably at least one ski trip in the winter.

We were going to but our host never came through with tickets. He hem-hawed around and said he probably could and this was not during a time when we could get free airfare. If the Eagles tickets were a sure thing we were planning on using our $750 airfare reim. for that.

Have you skied at Heavenly before? I guess you probably know as a 7 star you get 4 free lift tickets per season. I went last year twice. Even though last year was not a very good year for snow in Tahoe they did a pretty good job with the machines and the skiing was not that bad.

How was the Venice cruise? We have never used our 7 star cruise. We are doing the 7 star event NCL cruise out of NOLA in December. They are literally paying for everything. We are getting free port fees, taxes, fees, gratuities, and have already been confirmed in a very well located balcony stateroom. We also found out that we are getting the ultimate drink package free as well compliments of CET.

That means we get free water, sodas, beer, wine, or any thing else from any bar on the ship for free. In the casino, at the restaurants, by the pool, wherever. Additionally they are throwing in three free specialty dinners as well.

I hope it works out for you and you get to do the 7 star event cruise. These cruises sold out pretty fast. BTW who did end up getting for a host in Tahoe?
