Re: Harrahs Lake Tahoe
I skied there last year for the first last winter. I wasn't 7-stars then, but now I will get the free lift tickets. The Venice cruise was nice. I recommend taking the "taxes only" cruise on NCL. You can pick a destination of your choice. Caribbean is good as well, but we like other places. Might to the Alaska cruise in the spring. I'm on the waiting list for the NOLA cruise in November, won't be the worst thing if I don't get in, but it sounds like you get some nice perks beyond just the cruise. My Tahoe host is Aline Thibiduex. She seems like a pretty good host. I haven't had many needs. I played $50,000 coin in per day, and I've gotten free rooms and $100 food credit. I would of gotten back end comps as well, but my food didn't go beyond the $100 amount. Two things I know. (1) they use your reward credits before backend comps and (2) it's hard for them to give you concert tickets. I was told to take concert tickets in the corporate offer and then they can improve the offer. But getting concert tickets is done through the corporate offers. Much different than Vegas. Of course they make exceptions for bigger players than me.

Let me know if you plan on doing the Alaska cruise next spring. We almost did it this year and I am almost sure we are going to do it next May.
$50,000 coin in per day is more than we play when we are there and we play on the same card. The reason we get such good offers is b/c we have been going to Tahoe for a long time. Up until last year we had a really outstanding host who retired. For our anniversary one year he gave us a Summit suite which was about 3000 sq. ft. and had a fireplace, player piano, private butler service, among other things.
Our new host,is a little stingy. We still do not have trouble getting concert tickets but he is new to being a host and is not nearly as generous and not as likable as our old host was. Speaking of concert tickets make sure an keep an eye on the South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe. They have some pretty good entertainment there throughout the winter.

Sometime in the not too distant future, I will be able to travel more. I was at Tahoe once in 98 and the wife and I loved it. We played at Harrah's. My coin in average is about 20k per session. Any ideas what kind of comps that might be offered? Thanks. As far as hosts go, I have found the same problem with them at Mohegan Sun. Now, I don't even have an assigned one which is fine for me. The worst thing they ever did for business was dumping their marketing dept. and then dumping those duties on the hosts who were already overworked. Then they yank them for floor duty when they are trying to play catch up. I just rely on their web site now and they do have a vip services line I use sometimes, but that just follows whatever the computer says is available. I think this is the wave of the future for most casinos unless one is a really big Humpback Whale which most of us are not.

A diamond card or better will help you get some comps. The 20k per session is good but CET will probably be more interested in what you have done for them lately. When you get ready to go, if we happen to be going at the same time we would love to meet you and your wife. It would be worth giving them a call and talking to a host on duty and see what they will do for you.

Thanks. I haven't got a rating with them. Have been playing strictly in Ct. for the last 15 years or so. Some time though in the future would love to meet some of you guys and gals. Thanks for the offer and heads up.

I did the Alaskan cruise twice, both times on the NCL Pearl, and both times in June, one year apart. Weather was in the 50's. It is an exceptional experience cruising through Glacier Bay.

Have you recieved any night club comps there?

We used to get some but we did not list night clubs as an area of interest for us. We are mainly interested in free airfare through the Northern Nevada Air program, concerts, free play offers, and special events.

My host has mentioned something about airfare reimbursement. What are the details regarding that Northern Nevada Air program that you are referring to?

Contact your host and she can give you the details, phone numbers etc. to take advantage of this. We fly out of DFW so Chicago to Reno should be no problem as well.
Here is how it works in our case. About once a month CET purchases a block of seats on a commercial airliner for their players that qualify to go to either Reno or Tahoe. With your level of play your ADT should be high enough to go to Tahoe no problem. Once you make the arrangements with Northern Nevada Air, you pay for it and when you get to the casino go to the cashier with appropriate documentation and they will reimburse you in full.
We have been doing this for years. It is a fairly simple process. Try it out and let me know how it works out.
