We will be in Tahoe Jan. 10th leaving early on the 13th and again Feb. 14th leaving early on the 18th. We will be at Harrah's Kansas City during Super Bowl weekend. Other than New Years, not must planned at our local for beginning part of year. We also have another trip planned to Tahoe the second week of June.

Sounds good.....maybe you can give me an update on any VP changes when you get back on 1/13?

Will do. Don't know if you ski or not but they have been getting some snow there this year and I am looking forward to doing some skiing as well.

Yes I do ski. This is my first trip there with 7 stars status. What's the process for getting the free lift tickets?

At Tahoe you get 4 lift tickets per season at Heavenly. Just go to VIP and they will issue how ever many you need. If for instance you and a guest plan to ski for two days they will go ahead and give you all four at one time. Or if you only need 2 lift tickets you can save the other 2 for another trip. You can rent your skis at Harrah's or you can rent at one of the places adjacent to the ski lift. I like to rent at the ones near the ski lift so I do not have to carry my skis back and forth.

You also get 4 Tahoe Star yacht tickets per season as a 7 star benefit. Unless there are weather or maintenance issues, it usually runs between Memorial Day and Labor Day. If you have never done it before it goes to Emerald Bay and back, lasts about 2 hours, and comes with free drinks and snacks.

Weve never "played" at Harrahs Tahoe..only stayed a night there a month or so ago...
The only play we've given to CET was Diamond in a day at Harrahs Rincon, which gave us $2800 free play there, and now this...definite +EV.

How was the trip? I'd love to hear a trip report. I will be there in 2 weeks.

Broke even as far as video poker was concerned. No big hits but managed to get enough 4oak's with one aces with kicker along the way to hold my own. I was pleasantly surprised that all of the good machines are still there and they have not tampered with the pay tables.

Lake Tahoe itself was as low as I can ever remember seeing it. It must be several feet low and you can see exposed rocks everywhere along the shoreline. Decided not to ski on this trip. Hoping they will get more snow before our next trip middle of next month.

If you are looking for a great place to eat the Ciera Chophouse next door at Montbleu was very good. On Sun., Wed. and Thurs. they over a three course meal for $30 that was outstanding. Better than the overpriced steakhouses at Harrah's / Harvey's unless you are trying to use up some rc's or have a food credit.

Was disappointed in the diamond lounge at Harvey's. They no longer have hot food there. Still have chips and dips and a bar but that is about all. Not sure what their long term plan is for it. Closing it down would be such a shame because it has such a nice view and a feeling of exclusivity about it.

Welcome back.

Do they still have many 9/6 JOB machines at the $1 and 25 cent amounts?

Has the horizon reopened as hard rock?
