Pick one casino in Vegas... ok maybe 2
Let's say you have to choose one casino to play VP in Vegas. What would you choose and why? Then let's also say you have to pick a casino on the strip if you didn't for the first one. Dont' say "None" try to pick one that you would choose if you had to and say why.

I don't play on the Strip so have no recomendations.
On Fremont, I'd select Main Street Station because of the number of machines that are full pay.
In outlying casinos I'd select Silverton because of the number of full pay machines.

Best VP is downtown or in outlying areas such as Henderson, or down in Laughlin. I doubt if you will find many serious players on this forum who frequent the strip.

Fremont St is the old downtown area. It is not practical to think about walking from the North end of the Strip to the Downtown area. A bus or a cab would be the way to go.
The casinos in the Downtown area are:
Main Street Station
California Club
Las Vegas Club
Plaza
Golden Gate
Binion's
Golden Nugget
4-Queens
Fremont Hotel and Casino
Fitzgerald's
and, El Cortez though it is a couple of blocks further east.
I don't mention Gold Spike because you need steel toe boots (to keep from inadvertantly sticking yourself with a used needle) and possibly a Body Guard. In the evenings, you might need a Body Guard to get from the main part of Fremont to El Cortez too! The other casinos mentioned are "safe" 24/7....or at least as safe as any casino can be at 3am!

Eduardo, If your a first time Vegas tripper you need to see the strip. Plenty of time next few trips (and you will come back!) to track down some serious vp. Harrah's puts you right in the middle of the strip with a pretty easy walk either way. Since Harrah's properties owns Harrah's, Bally's, Paris, Flamingo, Caesars and the Rio(did I miss any?), you can play different casinos yet roll all your play into one club card. If your going for the best VP only like others have said Strip ain't it! Wife and I have stayed at Harrah's several times Bally's once and just booked 4days at the Paris. Never had a bad time yet! Service at all the hotels has been good.

Eduardo,
I'm with Bob; first trip you need to walk the strip. I'll describe it as sensory overload because you just can't take it all in. On the strip I like the MGM because of the huge selection but don't look for 9/6 JOB because it isn't there. Palms has full pay in several games but it's off strip and is quite a hike..take a cab. I also think Silverton and Green Valley Ranch offer very good VP paytables and good game selection. Go to any of these places and you'll be hooked on LV. We also never go out there without catching a show or two; can be pricey but worth the bucks. Hope you get there soon and GOOD LUCK
