Atlantic City

Post by ko king »

It's been many, many years since I've been to Atlantic City and I just received an offer for flight and deluxe accommodations for 2. Not sure if I want to go with all the negative stuff I've heard about the place.

kk, i used to go every month for years and i/m/o, it got very bad, so i stopped. i have continued to get offers each month and just tossed them. but, with all the casino closings, i am hoping the surviving properties just might be paying out a little better. as a result, i scheduled a trip for april 8-10, on one of the charter offers. can not offer an opinion on current status of AC, but it has been quite some time, so i am going to give it another chance.

i go to AC at least once a month and it's no different than going to any casino anywhere;you win or you lose.the 1 person i know on this site who posts negative on AC still continues to go whenever possible so i would take his comments with a grain of salt.

Which casino gave you the offer ?

Harrah's May 11-15. My biggest concern is when I get tired of playing and want to get away from the casino is there anything else to do?

if you are taking a free trip via harrahs, you will obviously need to stay there. the borgota is very close, so you can visit there. keep in mind, while your offer was from harrahs casino, i believe CET does not care if you gamble at any of their other two properties. CET will be looking for a certain amount of play, from any of their casinos, to keep the free offers coming. the trip is 'free', but you will pay a resort fee of about $30 and a hotel tax, each night you are there. while at harrahs, there is a free shuttle to both other CET properties. you can take their shuttle and walk the boardwalk, which is a great place to 'people watch' and see the ocean. if you are a diamond member, you should be entitled to free entry to the DIAMOND LOUNGE' at any of the CET casinos. CAESERS has a wondeful  view of the ocean and i have always found the free food good, but i am no gourmet.  please keep in mind, it has been some time since i have been there, so i cannot be sure if everything i mentioned is still true.

[/QUOTE]If you like to go shopping there are the outlet stores two blocks from Ceasar's and Bally's . You can take the shuttle to Ceasar's and walk to the stores.
