Deuces wild. Two pair?
I was just playing Deuces Wild on the Daily Contest with the training mode, and was dealt two pair: Aces and Eights. I held the Aces only, and the Training Mode lit-up yellow to indicate a mistake.
I’ve always split up two pair in Deuces. Am I making a mistake?

Usual rule of thumb: When full houses pay 4 for 1, keep Two Pair. When full houses pay 3 for 1, keep one pair. And when playing Bonus (or Double Bonus) Deuces keep the Pair that gives you a chance at the higher 5 of a Kind pay line when faced with a decision between which pair to keep, aces first, then 3s thru 5s, then 6s thru Ks.

And when the new game Lucky 8's Wheel Poker comes out, the best play for your Aces and Eights on Bonus Deuces will be the pair of 8s instead of the pair of Aces.

As he said, keep two pair if a Full House pays 4-1 in a regular Deuces game. Can't help you on the various variant games.

I've never heard of such a game. The only DDBDW games I know about, quads get paid 4-for-1 whether they are natural or contain one or more deuces.
The game you are talking about, any chance you could send us a picture? I'd like to examine it.

You need to bet 6 credits instead of 5, though, to get the pays on natural quads.

Thank you. Since it's only 98.7%, I won't be too concerned about it. It's in an Indian casino. I wonder if it's Class II or Class III.Jstark wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 7:44 am

If and when it appears in regular casinos with a better pay schedule, that'll be time enough to examine it more fully.
