Happy birthday to me.... Hit a royal flush on a bonus deuces with no deuces for $1,000. Then went to joker poker 2pair and hit a royal flush for 100.00 and the very next hand hit it again and then hit a straight flush. Total for the night was 1650. Put 20.00 in a penny machine and hit for 250.00 playing l.00 in pennies. Hit another penny machine for 100.00.  I could do no wrong.  Went  home with 1250.00 ahead. It was the best birthday ever.  Plus friends took me to the new Japanese restaurant that just opened which was an epicurean feast.

I go to AC often and I have not heard this. I have never been turned down for complimentary rooms, nor have any of my friends.

Where is that cool sounding new Japanese restaurant located? Thanks for your input! We are excited about heading to ac again in a few weeks and hoping for a repeat of wins there in July. Hope to increase my bankroll on Sat when we hit Windsor for comped, fun Beach Boys at the great new 5000 seat auditorium. faygo, We have to make it through GRAND PRIX Belle Isle traffic twice for the Windsor trip. It's baaack.

i heard a rumor ac casinos are slowing down on comps to save money, anyone heard this? This will be our third trip to AC and I have only played at a handful of lucky casinos there. That said, besides our free flight and room at Harrah's Resort, Harrah's sent us $40 voucher to play in bill accepter on a machine. Ditto for Showboat. Borgata has enticed us to return with $50 free play, two comps to their comedy three comedian show, free room and parking, and two for one buffet. I will find their Amphoria Lounge. At this point, there remains much for us to explore in AC. A free 1 1/2 hr flight to AC looks better than a $4-500, four hour flight to Vegas just now. NEW for MGM Detroit: self-serve soft drink station located between Wolfgang Puck's and Salt Water (as in sea food) restaurants. They may be opening more stations later. Clever location on their part:  clear across the casino from the entrance, near restrooms, ATM and $1 machines. Little River Native American casino at Manistee on Lake Michigan offers two self- service soft drink machines and sometimes a staffed popcorn machine. These stations are most welcome and hope other casinos will do likewise.
