Re: Video Poker Team Play
This is all very funny. I liked the sarcasm. Even the bozo wizard must be laughing at that post along with his boyfriend the pianoman.
I forgot which one is the pimp and which is the pimpee.
Or do they take turns?

New2vp i like your example. You mentioned 21 and I think your story would make a great movie too.
There really should be a vp movie with all this drama.

You forgot to cast YOUR part - a young Antonio Banderas, of course. I'm surprised that no one who's met you hasn't already brought up the resemblance.

Eduardo, I bow to your resourcefulness. I only wish I looked as good as advertised.

Hey Yaaal,Junior Samples here and I've got a story for you...Two guys go into a casino to play video poker. They find two awesome full pay 10/7 double bonus machines side by side and decide to play them. One guy is an expert, a total genius when it comes to addn' and subtractn' and that kind of stuff. He has played video poker for years as a pro. The other guy, even though he knew all the rules, whys, and wherefors, wanted to try something new.The expert chooses to play at $1 per credit. (That's a Lincoln per hand). The other not so smart guy decides to play his first hand at .10 per credit...They both press bet max (5 credits) are dealt their cards and they both lose. The expert is down 5 bucks...The idiot is down 50 cents. They play another hand...The expert bets another 5 bucks...The dumb ass decides to increase his bet up to .25 per credit ($1.25)...They play the hand and they both lose. The expert is down 10 bucks now...The mental patient is down $1.75...They play another hand...Our expert bets another 5 bucks...And numb nuts increases his bet to .50 per credit ($2.50)...They play the hand and God blessem' they both get three of a kind...The expert is now even (+/- 0) and that ol' dumb KY boy is ahead $3.25 ...Now, I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree and I cain't understand most things... But I'm pretty sure that both of these guys did exactly the same thing on a FULL PAY machine and the guy betting less won more...ahh hummm!!! S'cuse me!! I know which one I'd rather be....

Problem is Joe, the dumbass actually didn't hold the 3 of a kind because they were all queens and the other 2 cards were suited A-K matching the suit of one of the queens. The dumbass threw away the 3 of a kind and used a "SPECIAL PLAY" technique and lost pulling a 6 and a 4 unsuited and won NOTHING!!!

Hey damule...ARE YOU THAT STUPID!!!Instead of admitting that it works you have to totally deflect onto something absolutely off the wall!!!I don't use "Special Plays".... I know them....but choose to play perfectly instead....Don't stink up the room mule!!!Go back and read my post from night before last that totally explains that you don't have to use special plays...you don't have to play negative games...etc.All you have to do is decide what your preferred/comfortable play denomination is and start three levels under it so that when you do lose three hands in a row you'll be playing at your preferred level!I doubt you and the others can comprehend this based on everyone's comments since that post...is it because it is too simplistic? Maybe!!!!!!Even Shadowman can't comprehend that if you bet less you will never lose more....wha???? And then call me a liar....???? Show me the math on that one!!!!New2vp story is humorous but it still does not represent how these bets increase your wins while cutting your losses...And for the wise guys that contend that you miss out on an opportunity to maximize your wins by not betting the higher amount.... I say to them...How often do you sit down and start a session off with quads or higher in your first three hands? ...Not very often!!! Just look at a chart of hand frequency rates and tell me how often that will happen...
Straights, flushes, and full houses dealt on the first three hands are quickly caught up with using this strategy. The higher wins are eventually caught up with and surpassed over a couple to few hundred hands. I'm giving everyone indisputable facts here and you still are in denial...Who here is man enough to step up and prove me wrong? Don't distort what I say by recalling BS from other strategies that don't apply here.I dare anyone here to play 100 hands using this step-up "tactic" (as mickey contends) as I lay it out... .25, .50, $1, $2 assuming that your comfort level and normal play is at $2. (if it is less then go 3 denoms below your regular denom to start your session). If you don't have a simulator like VPFW that keeps track of coin in/out then use a calculator to subtract or add 5 credits for every hand you play and win/lose below your top level. (all hands at top level are equal bets to AP)Don't switch games...Don't use special plays...Choose the game of your choice...and just see for yourselves which method comes out ahead...Again...I DARE YOU ALL

Another case of coming up with a scenario that supports your view, knowing full well that for each case like that there's one where it costs you. Let's look at the same three hands for both players, but in a different order:
#1: Result, Three Of A Kind. $1 player is up $10. The progression player wins $1 on his 10 cent machine, and stays on 10 cent play.
#2: Result, nothing. $1 player is now up $5. Progression player is now up $.50, and switches to 25 cent play.
#3: Result, nothing. $1 player is at breakeven. Progression player loses $1.25 on that hand.
After three hands the $1 player has won/lost nothing, the progression player is down $.75.
