I didn't get a good look at him, oej.  Just a short time before the "white flag" went up for you that day, Eduardo turned to say something to me and one of the little tassels on his sombrero hit me in the eye.  Ouch.

[QUOTE=Eduardo]
When he sat down in front of a 100 play machine, the machine immediately dispensed a white flag to surrender and gave him $10,000 in credits. The casino manager showed up right away with a check, and oej tipped him $1,000 before taking us all out to dinner.

When I first read this, I thought I had lost it. In reality, I just needed to look a little longer and open a few more cupboards doors.

Hi, CD -

Earlier today Mr. Faygo sent me a PM with a question about the part of my previous post where I mentioned my consultations with local casinos on paytables, so I thought that I'd elaborate.

The practice in casinos for some years has been to steadily lower paytables over time on their rigged machines.  This reduces the effectiveness of machine rigging since the advertised lower paytables causes fewer dollars to come in the door.  This has been accompanied by a general reduction in comps to players; another disincentive.  This leads to a smaller amount of dollars subject to pilferage by said casinos.  A sad downward spiral.

About a year ago a contact of mine in the casino industry was complaining to me about their reduced take.  I had to laugh at him, and passed on a basic business principle to him - get the dollars in the door, first!  I then passed on a simple common-sense idea.  The paytables you show on your machines mean nothing, anyway, when the machines are rigged.  Why not raise them (and comps as well) to get more dollars in the door and then decide which specific cheating methods to use?

Well, one thing led to another and I was recently asked to come in and help them decide how much to raise those little paytable numbers.  I hear that's happening in other areas of the country as well.  Like many people, I'm privy to the secret, illegal regulations here in Colorado as well as the Nevada ones.  As I wrote in my last post, the illegal regulations are in writing to make sure everything's on the up-and-up, and there's nothing illegally illegal about raising paytables.

Sometime soon I'll post some excerpts from those secret regulations.  I'm told by a reliable source that only five or six people read these posts so I doubt that it would be any big deal; plus I've seen sections previously published in the Enquirer.  Stay tuned.

Wow, this sounds like pretty hot information.  If more is sent to me, I'll post it.
