custer was not born until dec. 5 1839. he died june 25 1876. If you are going to try and talk about history at the very least you should know a little about which you speak bs. do not think foxwoods= indians was a Question more like a statement. again bs know of what you are speaking of. As far as someone sneaking up on you if I was you I would not worry you are not worth the powder to blow you away. probably should take your own advice and do a little research before your next post so you do not look like a fool again.

You people means the people on this site that time after time again take pot shots at tribal casinos when it does not go their way. As far as social skills go how other than how the statement foxwoods=indians go how other than the way I took it  would or should that statement be taken? please do explain. I assume you are of european descent BRMCC. So until you take a walk in my shoes you should probably reserve judgement on the race card.

Wow anyone reading this can clearly see who has a racist attitude toward anyone other than "their" kind. I could careless but the poster definetly said nothing wrong. This isnt the first or even third time that you try to drum up racial problems where they dont even exist. Get over it. Im American by the way, nothing in front of my name before American . Not looking for special treatment either, have a nice day

Apparently you do care otherwise you would not have addressed this subject in the first place. As far as racist attitude I have not said anything disparaging about anyones ethnicity, race, creed or color. I am not looking for special treatment, just looking for a fair shake. which obviously that is going to be hard to accomplish with views like yours BRMCC. You clearly have no answer to the Question I posed about taking his comment any other way.

You suggested that Im perhaps European=(RACIST). Im American, home grown born here. I feel like Im native to my country America  where I was born. Maybe Im native American, depends how you look at it. Actually I offer my apology to you. The fact is, I knew better than to try and have a civil open minded conversation with you. My fault.

You clearly have no answer to the Question I posed about taking his comment any other way.

What he meant by it was that he thought they would realize that he hit this jackpot at foxwoods/Indian casino, where it was thought to have been tax exempt. Does that help you to understand that absolutely nothing was racist in his regard?

edog, if I may.

What the original poster implied with MY reading of "Foxwoods= Indians", was that a tribal run casino, unlike many State licensed casinos don't withhold STATE TAXES, unless they agreed to do so in their compacts. Fill out a W-9 and its all yours, til tax time.

Casino's in say Mississippi, as well as some others, automatically withhold State Income Taxes on jackpots over $1200., while a TRIBAL CASINO does not. "Foxwoods= Indians" NO STATE TAXES WITHHELD!

In your rant you also mentioned that your community pays state sales taxes on smokes. Here in Az the member owned smoke shops collect State Sales Taxes, but do not pay them to the State. Instead they are paid to the tribe. This works both for the tribe and the state. Still cheaper on the Rez, but not so much that it puts off-Rez retailers out of business. IMHO, that's good business.

On a final note, please consider this. I'd be willing to bet you some serious money that 99 percent of all the members here both Gold and Freeloader are not racists. Further, I'd bet most of us patronize Indian Casinos on a regular basis. If we were the racists enemies that you seem to believe we are, why would we bother gambling on the Rez?

PS. I you are offended by my use of the word Indian, start here. http://www.aimovement.org/
