Re: STP Questions
chattycatty when I feel like playing a bonus game I usually prefer to play STP over UX. STP isn't as hard on the bankroll as UX is. Good luck in Council Bluffs.

Looks like I will be able to give it a shot in Council Bluffs. I checked on the game finder here and it shows both Harrah's and Horseshoe have STP. I hope the pay tables are decent. Anyone know?
Doubt it. Horseshoe Council Bluffs used to have 9/6 DDB w/STP (99.26% w/STP), but it likely downgraded to 9/5 or worse during the "Great CET VP purge of 2013", VP lists 9/5 DDB as being their best game, period. 98.91% Deuces at Harrah's at the Bar supposedly, but that was reported 10 months ago.
Not many CET properties have 99%+ STP anymore. I can only think of Rincon for 25c, 50c (8/5 Bonus w/Double STP = 99.67%) and Joliet for dollars (98.91% Deuces w/STP = 99.19%). Flamingo and Harrah's LV have 9/5 JoB w/Double STP in the high limit room for dollars (98.95% w/Double STP).

Yeah, but if you modified the game where multipliers to be worth half your bet like Ultimate X, it would definitely be rough. Double STP is already pretty rough.

Vman, I like the phrase "Great CET VP Purge of 2013". Its sad but true. Lowering the pay tables probably makes the bean counters happy. I can only speak for myself.
My wife and I play on the same card. This time last year we were already almost to 7 star. So far this year we haven't even gotten half way yet. We will probably still reach 7 star again but it may be November or December before we get there.
Instead of routinely getting the 2500 tier credits and the 5000 bonus tier credits we find ourselves so far this year settling for the 1000 tier credits. So in our case, even though we are going just as much at we did last year, at least in part because of this "great purge", we are playing less. You think CET cares? Probably not.
And thank you Tedlark for the good luck wishes when we go to Council Bluffs. I will definitely play some STP and double STP if I can find it there. Also looking forward to checking out their diamond lounges. Have heard they are very good. We will be there May 28 until June 1st if anyone else will be in the area.

You may want to consider finding a relatively 'benign' $5 slot to play if VP isn't cooperating. This will increase your base tier credits quicker. I like Quick Hits, which is a 2-coin max bet. Top prize is $50k, but the ones that I have played seem to return your bet quite often with a random QH. Even though I may not catch a big payout, I seem to at least be able to cycle through a lot of hands, each one equal to 2 Tier credits, with a relatively small bankroll.

We like the $5 slots. Have rarely if ever played the quick hit $5 machines but will be on the lookout for them. We particularly like the Double Gold and Triple Gold machines.
These type of old fashioned machines are being phased out and replaced with server based and/or penny machines. Neither one of us has ever hit anything big on a penny machine although when we play them we usually play $2 to $3 dollars at a time. About half of the regular slots in the HL section at Horseshoe Bossier City have been replaced with server based machines. So far they have not been very kind to us either.

My last girlfriend got me hooked on a goofy penny slot called: "Treasure's of Troy." It alleges to have 1054 ways to win and I think I've only found about 12 of them.

Sounds like the kama sutra. The other 1042 ways to win are probably impractical or require too much equipment.

Apparently winning the heart permanently of your "last" girlfriend was not one of the 12 that you found.
