I've had people tease me because of my "discipline".  I give myself a winning limit and losing limit.  I have 5 casinos here in S. Florida within a 30 minute driving distance.  But, it's hard to leave!!  I posted earlier about my shock win at the Isle in Pompano Beach.  Deuces and Joker Wild got dealt the Joker & 2 deuces and got the other 2.  A .50 bet netted me $1000.  I cashed the $1000 thought about investing $100 in a $1 machine (I'm a little guy - nickels).  Decided against it.  Sat back down at the .10 machine and played out the $18 (I had brought $40).  Left with the $1000.  My thinking is that I want to be able to play for another day.  What I also do is if I'm in AC and I'm up -- I have a small change purse that fits in my bra - I take the amount I want to walk out with and stick it in the bra.  LOL.

luvzlyfe, i think that is a good way. If you get ahead by more than you started with, pocket it and then just keep playing with what oyu brought. then you know you are going home a winner.

That's how I know If "we" had a good AC trip. If I notice Tangueray gained a cup size, good trip.  Couple of cup sizes it was a very good trip.

Er, um, what if YOU'RE the one who's the designated "bank" for a trip?  Dare I ask?

Now, you better then that. Official Casino rules forbid the Husband from having access to the bankroll.

This was a big problem for me until I worked it out for myself.   My strategy is different when I visit Biloxi about 3-4 times a year, but most of the time I play at the Tampa or Hollywood Florida Hard Rocks.   There are no 100% pay back VP machines in Florida and the odds are usually poor.  My best payback average is when playing $1 Double Double Bonus.  I know it's suppose to be a terrible game, but it works for me.  I take seven $50 bills into the casino.  I start with one machine and play until the $50 is gone.  If I hit 4 of a kind or bigger on that $50, I cash out and put the ticket in my wallet. I play the next $50 from my original stash.  If I don't hit on that $50 I walk around and move to another machine.  What I am looking for is a machine on the up side of the variance. I keep playing until my original seven $50s are gone.  Then I cash my tickets, walk out of the casino, get in my car and go home.  As you would expect, many times I loose my $350, but I am gauaranteed to loose only that much.  A lot of the time, I hit 4 or a kind and some times I have hit 4-of-a-kind 3-4 times in one session.  The kicker pay backs can be huge and do happen with some regularity.   I have walked out of the casino many times with over $2,000 in my pocket. I have been using this strategy for over a year now and am a little ahead.  I'm not trying to make money at this.  I like excitment, but I get so depressed when I loose a lot of money that it's not fun anymore. Loosing $350 doesn't hurt me, so I have been happy with this system.  May work for you...

That is some quick excitement.  I can blow $350 before I sit down on $1DDB.

Playing $ OEJs is close to DDB. Variance is around 40 vs. 42. If I limited myself to $350 I'd be done in less than 10 minutes many times. So, I know exactly how you feel. It's easy to lose $1000/hour playing DDB as I've also done that even on 10/6. Given a two hour one way trip to the casino that's not my cup a tea. So, I bring a lot more money.

I guess the big difference is I'm playing a positive expectation game and when the big losses come I feel safe that I will eventually get it back ... and I always have.
