ted, first off, glad you have survived a string of life challenging events.

but, how one looks at things, makes a difference in how one would label these events. one could call it good luck, good medical care or GOD that you survived. or, one could call it bad luck that all these things happened in the first place. it all depends on one's outlook.

now, when it comes to VP. to play at least the last seven years, play thousands of hands, play on mainly negative machines and not have a losing year......i would say not impossible (because most anything is possible), but unlikely.

Back when I had access to good Dream Card paytables and a liberal slot club, those were my strongest year-end results. I actually came out ahead for 2 years in a row. Not by much, but still. The royal/AWAK cycle is so much shorter compared to regular VP that a player can quite possibly can wind up on the positive side of variance. Of course, when you run bad on DC it is really, really bad.

I have no issues with you so then please excuse my bluntness: I don't much care if you, or anyone else here for that matter, doubts my play and what I reported. I have the records to back up what I said. One course of action I can take is to simply stop posting stories and trip results.

i am not offended by your 'bluntness'. you have every right to defend your declarations.

i started this topic for a couple of reasons. first, because you have posted, over the years, many times about consistently winning. while playing negative games, your results fly in the face of the math. but,
i also wanted to see the reactions of those who DO live and die by the math and berate anyone who does not abide by their beliefs. and, here you come, popular with many of the posters, but posting your multi year year winning results, that contradicts what they espouse. i hope everyone has noticed the many so called 'math experts', who have been conspicuously absent and did not comment. in the future, pay them no heed.

as to my my beliefs (for what little it matters), i question almost everything i read on the internet.

And to those who doubt me I ask: what would I be gaining by lying about something so trivial? Never did I say that I win EVERY TIME. I have stated, and posted here, of losing sessions. I have though, come out ahead each of the past seven years. I do not go to casinos as often as some here would imagine. There are several here who go much more often than I do, they also most likely have different playing habits than I do too. I will cut a session short if I am up and I want to retain what I lost. Last year when I made my last trip to Las Vegas I was up 5 figures and because I wanted to keep most of that I played small ball for a couple hours on Sunday before i flew out. I actually also hit a $500.00 payout on an airport machine, I wrote of that trip here. It was when I saw Reba along with Brooks & Dunn. In between my playing at Sam's Town for .05 denomination and flying out I took a drive and just wasted time. I bought a copy of the Sunday Las Vegas Review Journal and read it in the lounge at Rio.

Most of my play is at the .25 denomination and it is rare for me to play at higher denominations (i.e. .50 & 1.00) unless the conditions are right. I rarely chase losses and, as I have stated before: I play on my terms and not the casinos. Someone wrote here in the forum in the last two days that going after freeplay or other comps should only be done when it's worth going after, I posted that same comment here more than a week ago.

Ultimately I don't care what the experts say about math and video poker. Ultimately I don't care what some of the other posters here say about video poker. For better or for worse, I play video poker for me. Vman recently wrote of me playing sub-par return games and I don't care about those either. As I have also mentioned prior: I consider myself to be a recreational player who DOES care about winning.

Congrats on your winning years. You are correct to play on your own terms. Posters here have said they are usually ahead at some point in each session but keep playing and give it back, and more.

I have a legitimate question. How do you determine how much of a win or a loss will cause you to walk out?
